Radiology Technical Committee

The Radiology Technical Committee performs the technical work of the IHE Radiology Domain. It works under the direction of the Radiology Planning Committee.

Change Proposals

CP Tracking Spreadsheet - lists all CPs, their topic, current status and assigned editors

Maintenance Folder - holds copies of all CPs, grouped by current status

• Follow the instructions for moving CPs between folders.

Change Proposal Process explains submitting and managing Change Proposals.

• Radiology added status codes: RJ when a CP has been rejected (e.g. CP-RAD-098-RJ.doc), CA when a CP has been cancelled, and CM when a CP is completed and ready for ballot.

Technical Framework Editorial Maintenance

The TF Section Number Assignments google sheet tracks the main profile chapter numbers (in Volume 1) and the transaction numbering (including Volume 2 and 3 section numbering). This spreadsheet should be updated just prior to new profile supplements being published for Trial Implementation.

RAD Tech also uses this Assessment of RAD TI Supplements as a working document to evaluate profiles to move from Trial Implementation to Final Text.

Each year, RAD Tech uses this RAD Republication Planning Dashboard google sheet to manage the incorporation of CPs into the Final Text TF and existing TI Supplements. Some years, TI Supplements are moved to Final Text and incorporated into the TF. For Reference, here is Mary's publication schedule for all domains.

In 2025, we documented these IHE RAD Tech Annual TF Republication Process instructions for the TPM, Editors, Reviewers and RAD Tech co-chairs.

In April 2024, IHE RAD Tech drafted these definitions for profile status, and will be working on applying these to RAD profiles, and potentially tweaking these definitions. We expect to take these to the IHE level as we gain experience. See: https://wiki.ihe.net/index.php/Evaluation_of_Published_Profiles

• Retired = Stale technology. Existing implementations are valid. The profile is no longer maintained by IHE. Profile documentation remains published but labeled.Could be applied to TI or FT profiles. Profile documentation remains published but labeled.
• Deprecated = Obsolete technology. Do not implement this. The profile is removed from the TF publication; remains in the archive. Could be applied to TI or FT profiles.
