This actor serves as a broker for the communication between two or more context participant actors (either Patient Context Participant or User Context Participant). It supports the passing of the user and patient subjects.
Responsibilities in Profiles
The responsibilities placed on this actor in the context of each Profile is summarized here. For the actual specifications, refer to the Technical Framework.
A system that supports an Actor does not have to meet the requirements in any given Profile unless the system claims support of that Profile in the product Integration Statement.
Patient Synchronized Applications
This Profile depends on the actor to:
- Respond to the request to join the context session from the context participant.
- Manage the Change Context Transaction lifecycle.
- Responds to the request to leave the context session from the context participant.
- Conduct context surveys, and notify the context participants of acceptance or cancellation of a change, and provide context values.
