This is a special meeting held in parallel with the IEEE 11073 PoCD and PHD WGs.
The final day (Thursday 9/12) will be a joint plenary with invited guests.
These face-to-face meetings have a number of objectives depending on the programs and committees involved:
  • DEV Domain level Discussions
  • DEV PCD Program Discussion
  • DEV PCH Program Discussion
  • DEV DPi Program Discussion
Planning Committee: Review, plan and initiate PCD activities; contribute to planning of the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase and other Showcases and events; recruit vendors and users.
Technical Committee: Review and adopt brief profile proposals; contribute to Connectathon test tools, tests, and procedures.

Presentation from Lisa, plan for detailed 1 hour discussion at Oct 14 pump WG call
Reviewed proposed use of UDI for identification of device. Discussed how to identify a device if barcode is not readable. Need to be able to manually type something in. Potentially just the serial number (UDI-PI vs full UDI) and the consuming system would need to filter list of know devices that matched serial number so the user could choose the correct one. Will add more detail about what to do in this case along with guidance on how devices would be registered. Need short summary of whitepaper to present to DEV Technical committee to get formal approval to create a whitepaper.
No time in this session for this topic. Working on a third example for loading dose as first step. Will add to future Monday WG session.

Goal:
Facilitate the standard development lifecycle of interoperability standards, profiles and use cases of the three Workgroups (IEEE11073/POCD/PHD and IHE/DEV).
Coordinate interoperability standards, profiles and use cases, understand domains amongst workgroups and other in the interoperability space, collaborate on promotion of standards, optimize :standards for regulatory purposes, plan for conformity assessment, evaluate the adoption of standards and harmonize these standards globally.
