Meeting with Alex Lippitt, HIMSS 15 - HIMSS needs session applications by June 15. one idea – shoulod have PCD sessions, have some focused on other IHE areas (PCC, lab, etc.). One concept – session or two at HIMSS followed up by practicum in showcase theater to provide a real feel for the flow. Two audiences CIOs, CEOs, etc. before the hall opens, especially other domain developers, maybe also exhibitor execs. Could also provide developer training just beefore CN. How to apply for the slots? Alex – Two paths; the usual process (professional developement), other – in showcase, can run independent of education sessions. Just starting meetings with Lab and other domains. Discussed options and possibilities. How to 're-use' existing work and processes in other domains (ACM and Lab), supply side workflows. Monroe provided examples. Alex will send session application links today. If we can provide a brief ASAP, that would be very useful. Alex will also provide info on what type of sessions HIMSS wants. 4. Profiles and TF Updates - Review public comments https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en&fromgroups#!forum/pcdcomments 5. Meet with Satish Kavirajan and Tim Gee, participation in Medical Device Connectivity Conference. Tim – Concept; A lot can be done with PCD profiles, but a lot of hospitals don't understand what's available and how it all works. Idea; have some contaent in a conference to 'spoon feed' folks PCD and how to adopt the profiles more. Monroe – presentation at AAMI on this. TCBI offers opportunity for more presentations and interaction. Costs? Satish – sponsorship costs $2800 - $15k. Some discussion of sponsorship and presentations. End users not expected to sponsor, but some vendors may want to do so. Next step; Tim and Satish will frame roles and how it would come together. Manny – considering a demonstration? Manny explained current AAMI showcase process, Tim will think of a way to apply that model to this conference. Attendance was 150 people last year, 30% hospitals. Would a hospital tour be useful? Tim and Satish will put together a possible process. John G – interested in how the profiles are developed? Tim – Yes. John G; Could take advantage of face to face. Manny – could take advantage of HIMSS Innovation Center. - Post discussion – Innovation Ctr could be a good venue for this activity. Event is pretty small, unsure of cost/benefit for PCD.
