Summary
Defines the workflow and content necessary to connect any “machine-integrated” Treatment Management Systems (TMS) with a departmental-wide Radiation Oncology Information System (ROIS) and Hospital-wide Information system (HIS).
This profile provides the combined mechanisms to exchange physician intent, treatment schedules, treatment updates per session and treatment summaries at the end for any machine in the department.
Benefits
A Radiation Oncology department can use a single HIS or ROIS to schedule all machines, set clinical intent, track progress towards completion for all machines and do offline review for all machines.
