- Monroe reported that he spoke to nurse call and communication systems. A demonstration of device condition and RTLS at AAMI is being discussed.

- Monroe pointed out that June is the deadline for new work.

7. Workitem Proposals - Adopted

- Monroe indicated those who did volunteer (see ballot report) and asked for additional participation.
- Monroe described the need for participation:
o Members to contribute to development and/or review and need not take a leadership position or fully engage. Specific comments follow:
o Optimized Message Syntax: simplification of PCD-01 – Ken reported that nothing has been accomplished; he will define it a bit more detail and a WG will be established. It will not be a new transaction, but rather to clarify when the message can be simplified.
o Event Communication: system to system rather than system to person
- Manny to update the list of volunteers.

8. Showcase:

- Tuesday’s meeting focused on lessons learned.

78. Stakeholder Survey: Manny to ping Barrett.
128. Promote RTM: John Garguilo indicated that Continua is using RTMMS. He found a lot of interest when talking with visitors at HIMSS13. Paul indicated that Iona and Greg and Continua have expressed interest in adding SNOMED terms. John Garguilo noted that there are issues in determining how close these terms are to the IEEE terms and expert review will be required. Monroe noted that Farzad Mostashari, ONC, at HIMSS indicated that SNOMED and LOINC will be used, a concern to PCD. Monroe referred to the JC’s requirement for critical result reporting as an incentive for other domains to adopt the ACM profile.
