  • Planning and objectives for July 12-13 IHE Intl Board Strategic Planning Retreat
  • Proposed retreat goals from 2012-04-03 tcon:
  • Develop a mission statement
  • Develop a strategic vision for IHE and application of that vision to all the parts of IHE.
  • Domain development activities: develop a set of strategic objectives (existing and new) and a set of principles that will be used by all deployment related committees to meet those objectives. Domain dewelopment activities are part of the domain committees and testing and tools committee.
  • Deployment activities: develop a set of strategic objectives and a set of principles that will be used by all deployment related committees to meet those objectives. Deployment activities are part of the deployment committees and testing and tools committee.
  • Marketing and Communication activities: develop a set of strategic objectives and a set of principles that will be used by all marketing and communications related committees to meet those objectives.
  • Chris Carr and Jim St. Clair have proposed adding discussion of business planning to agenda. Work group agrees with the following provisions:
  • Limit discussion of business issues to one hour
  • Focus on potential revenue sources and business goals
  • General Planning
  • Chris Carr pursuing facilitator
  • Set up call with candidate to review process, assess personal delivery
  • Send candidate credentials to group
  • Work with facilitator to develop draft agenda for retreat to present to Board on June 14 meeting
  • Begin meeting on July 12 with regular Board business meeting (<90 minutes)
  • Begin retreat activities at 10:30
  • Adjourn meeting by 3pm Friday
  • Action Item: Chris Carr to notify group of time for brief call with candidate facilitator
