Review of Tools and Processes

1. Key Wiki Pages for Committee Processes

  • In general domains are following the principles laid out; in some domains the separation of planning and technical activities is less distinct since there is a significant overlap in membership
  • Responsibilities of Planning and Technical Committees in profile selection may be shared differently in different Domains
  • May add notes to indicate that Technical Committee has responsibility for proposing a slate of profiles for approval to a Planning Committee
  • Review Profile Design Principles on future call
  • CP process: should facilitate submission process using secretary alias addresses for Technical Committee for Technical Framework
  • Action Item: Update Change Proposal Wiki page and Supplement Template boilerplate text to clarify submission process; Kevin O'Donnell will change Process page
  • Currently Technical Framework documents are developed in MS-Word
  • Add link to ftp site to Tool Usage section of Process page
  • Add review of Tool Usage page to upcoming agenda
  • Manuel Metz is developing Wiki page on guidelines for supplement writers; review on February call
  • Domain/Committee Pages
  • Timelines need co-chairs to work with secretaries to develop general cycle of activities; not to be as detailed as Committee pages which list specific meetings, minutes, etc.
  • Roadmap section: ITI example; add section for profiles under long-term development
  • Should demonstrations and other events be listed?

2. Other important resources

  • Add links to one-page profile descriptions to Domain pages
  • Possible resource to be used for WSDLs, Schemas, etc.
  • ITI references location on ftp site within TF Appendix W; may also place on ihe.net Technical Frameworks page or add reference to ftp site on Technical Frameworks page
  • RSNA Comment Forums
  • Supplement templates for Trial Implementation point to the comment forum, but don't request submitters to send Change Proposals
