Roles and Processes for Exam Development
- Discussion, see process overview image
- according to EN ISO/IEC 17024 (2012, confirmed 2018) we want to make sure that exam designers and training providers do not experience conflicts of interest.
- Status on structure (Werner)
- Under the Education Committee we form a sub-committee "Education Exam Sub-committee"
- Members should be experts on exam questions, but may consult other groups for advice and recommendations
- Goal: Maximize independency in creating exam question
- Responsibilities
- Creation and maintenance of an exam question pool
- Question recommendations may be delivered by individual members "directly" of the Education Committee (no review of Education Group should occur)
- Creation of the exam structure, based on the learning outcomes developed by the Education Committee
- Note: The random combination of questions to exams is done by the exam provider
- Contraints
- Members must be independent from training (trainers, teachers, training providers, tutor, training material producers, etc.)
- Members are allowed to be part of the Education Committee
- Minimum member count: 4
- Members MUST NOT be active in the training sector for a minimum of 1 year after resigning of the group
- Note: One-way restriction: Trainers stopping their business may become member of this sub-committee immediately
- Decision: Education Exam sub-committee is created

- Minimum requirement: Commitment to remain in the group until first exam is finished

- Getting min 3 members for Exam sub-committee
- Finalize Business Outcomes
- Finalize Learning Outcomes
- Question pool creation process, on the basis of the Learning Outcomes:
- 1) Existing exam questions (example questions, questions of Stefan's university) will be submitted to Exam sub-committee
- 2) Send out invitation to the group to submit proposals for exam questions to exam sub-committee
- 3) Exam sub-committee processes and maps all incoming questions to the learning outcomes
- 4) Remaining exam questions will be developed by Exam sub-committee
- Note: Exam question format: Multiple Choice Question type (select 1 out of 4-6)
