This is a temporary page to describe existing OID registries and to assist the Domain Coordination Committee (aka co-chairs) decide how to manage OIDs.

IHE maintains a namespace under an object identifier (OID) obtained from the [http://www.iana.org/ IANA]. The structure of the root OID (1.3.6.1.4.1.19376) is described below:


I don't know which of these are prevalent/maintained. Google showed these in roughly this order, so you can infer something about them.

# [http://www.alvestrand.no/objectid Alvestrand] First page is an overview of OIDs. This link [http://www.alvestrand.no/objectid/top.html OID Search] is on that first page but hard to find. It allows you to search for OIDS. I see there is quite a backlog of entries to process, so I have my doubts about this specific site.
Top-level OIDs under this namespace are assigned and registered by the IHE Documentation Specialist. Send inquiries about assignment of top-level domains to:

Each IHE domain manages its own subdomain under the root OID for IHE domain namespaces (1.3.6.1.4.1.19376.1). The root OID for each domain is provided below, along with a link to a page describing its OID assignments.
