World Summit 2017

• Status of discussion

• The following conclusions/recommendations have been taken during the work with the representatives of IHE Japan, Korea and Australia together with the HIMSS AsiaPac staff:

• The representatives of IHE Japan, Korea and Australia recommend holding that event

• The event should be an “IHE World Summit”
• Benefits are high, risk of brand damage is very low

• The length should be a 1-day event as a pre-conference day to the HIMSS AsiaPac

• HIMSS AsiaPac conference is an important event in that region, conflicts with other events are of lower risk
• Location of the event: Singapore, Marina Bay Sands
• Date of the event (proposed): Monday, September 11, 2017 (HIMSS AsiaPac conference is from Sep 11-14, 2017)

• Format should be more in the style “IHE introduction/education” + real project/deployment reports out of Asian countries

• Educational topics should include IHE General, Testing, CASC, Connectathon
• More presentations, less panels/interaction

• Participation generated out of IHE Japan/Korea/Australia alone about 20 persons
• Speakers out of IHE Japan/Korea/Australia can be delivered (China should be added as well)

• Formal approval needed for starting negotiations with HIMSS AsiaPac to create a MoU

• Motion: Approve to continue negotiations with HIMSS to hold an "IHE World Summit" event in conjunction with the HIMSS AsiaPac conference as outlined

• Result shall be a MoU between IHE and HIMSS, which is ready to be signed by the IHE International Co-chairs
• Raised and seconded -> motion moved

• Decision: Motion approved

• Next steps:

• TCon with HIMSS will be scheduled for creating a MoU (Jürgen will create a doodle)
• Start Program Planning by everyone providing topic suggestions (Jürgen will start process after GDC call)

World Summit 2016

• Videos of the sessions will be produced and uploaded in the next weeks

• Newsletters will be sent out (with references to the videos)
• Feedback form will be evaluated (Chris)
• A section for the World Summit (all events) shall be created on ihe.net

Education WG

• Status

• Educational concept ready, but creating the exams, etc. requires investment
• Workitem is ready to proceed, but blocked at the moment by a pending financial decision
• 2 options for unblocking:

• (1) hire someone to do for money
• (2) let those organizations do it volunterly and grant to them a timespan of "exclusiveness"

• Status by now: will be worked out in the IHE International Board of Operations to present to the board for decision
