The potential value of interoperable messages with clinical engineering and vendor representatives were discussed at AAMI. Those responsible for clinical devices and systems readily embraced the benefits of data delivered to CMMSs - device condition (e.g., batteries, self-test results, PM notification based upon hours or cycles used), technical alerts (e.g., failure notification), versions; and of course location where the combination of condition and location provides increased patient safety, more accurate information about utilization and other benefits. Increased productivity, effectiveness, communication with clinicians and other benefits are apparent. | |||
