Minutes

  • IHE Process - 18 month cycle; starts at the same time yearly in October timeframe with planning committee meeting for the first time in new cycle to review new work items; committee sends out a call for proposals; then planning committee meets to review and prioritize the work and hands off to technical committee; tc meets and says they have bandwidth to do this amount of work along with maintenance work; tech committee starts work on those items; Volume 1 is finalized in february timeframe; f2f is to complete all voume 2, 3, 4 in may so documents are ready for public comment, pc period is 30 days; after pc period is over, tech cm.t reviews how to respond to comments, one more f2f in july; after this cmt. submits documents for TI; enters TI cycle (1 year of work completed); connectathon registration opens in August. Anything in TI will be tested at connectathon; 18 month cycle with 6 month overlap
  • Maintenance issues - in connectathon you find issues or you want to add new options, etc.; if something is a small change you have a mis-documented LOINC code in a profile or you have something like editorial, a change proposal can be addressed by committee anytime through the year to make it work; if large change like RPE where it evolves into something completely different its treated as a new profile and republic for PC; process is similar to new profile; PC - allows others from outside process to provide feedback; also garners support and interest in a particular profile so more people will sign up for connectathon testing and showcase
  • Committee needs to send email to Amit with face to face meeting agenda time requests
  • Be sure to review the revised agenda since things have been moved around
  • Finalize CP uploading process in Google Docs
  • Review past minutes to find notes about SMD
