- Topic at HL7 WGM around Pathology reporting is on the agenda for Monday Q2
- HL7 WGM OO agenda LINK: https://confluence.hl7.org/display/OO/OO+WGM+Agenda+-+202101
- Digital Pathology in Telemedicine:
- IHE Google DOC link – (Francesca Vanzo to provide)
- First draft created
- XDS and DPIA profile merger for the first use case
- Where does APSR fit into this workflow?
- How do we reconcile this with XDS?
- XDS is a series of envelopes that expects CDA or other kinds of documents
- Need to define what is in the CDX envelopes:
- Images / full report?
- For SDC we used MDH on FHIR – will need to look at how MDH works with images.
- SDC does not cover the send out lab reports and additional narrative reports, but that is what we need
- DICOM WG26 is working on DI result sharing, so it is not yet implemented in image producers
- The expert opinion and diagnosis MUST make it back to the patient’s EHR-s along with the discrete data elements – as it is the FINAL actionable diagnosis and that needs to be standardized
- Do we need to consider other parts of the workflow –like orders from less experienced actors / systems on the patient care side (that is use case 2) – that will use the XRR for external reporting
- For telemedicine transaction is text, by it would be ideal to also include images with annotation, that can highlight the areas of interest and explanations – that is not currently done in the physical world, but it should be possible in the digital imaging work
- Next Steps:
- Check on MDH profile feasibility
- Coordinate with work of DICOM WG-26
