Action(s):

2 2013 N A Connectathon
- As Noted
Status/Discussion:

Today's discussion focused on the WCM option.

Ken began discussion of WCM by noting:

- Waveform needs to be in a message, but need not be in a message accompanying other data. It will need a PCD-01 or PCD-04.
- There’s a lot of optionality that need not be supported. We may want an optional test for some of the optional items. On the receiving side, these systems need to be able to receive the WCM content even if they don’t process the WCM.
o CP 84 has a note to this effect.
o ACM will address this item.

Discussion continued:

- Monroe asked how developers will register for WCM as an option since options are not scored. Manny to confirm that registration will be available for options.
- We need to have a test that shows that a receiving system will not choke on a WCM.
- ACs require a meaningful presentation of the data. The same is not required of a DOC.
o Need to consider this in the DOC test.
- Need to consider how to test when there is no display at the DOC, AC, AM.
- For AC – does it support evidentiary display or merely graphical display. If evidentiary then it must support some minimal display. By changing filter does it change. Does it support annotations. For small display there may be an icon that, when clicked would provide a second window.
- For DOC – display – ACM requirements can apply to DOC.
- NIST testing should address as many of the optional tests as they can accommodate. The popular ones will be tested at the Connectathon.

Decisions/Issues:

Action(s):

3 DEC
- As Noted
Status/Discussion:

Manny asked if there is an interest in reviewing DEC tests; no emails have indicated an interest. A brief review of the spreadsheets didn't reveal anything significant. The blue type indicates differences between Connectathon and NIST Pre-Connectathon or Virtual/Internet testing.
