OB Fetal Monitoring Strips
- Goal is to describing how you can use XDS-SD profile to publish a fetal monitoring strip
- This is a new kind of document - not a white paper, not a profile - more along the lines of an implementation guide...
- What do we call this new document?
- Implementation guide?
- Ihe deployment guide?
- Profile usage guide?
- Using IHE profiles to [insert problem statement here] - Using ihe profiles to communicate fetal heart tracings?
- Will contain the following:
- The problem/Use case involving communication of fetal monitoring strips
- Solution to the problem
- Don't need to include actors/transactions
- Do need references to IHE profiles that support this process
- Provide implementation guidance (i.e. use vector graphics for recording tracing, how to represent scales)
- Additional recommendations - be mindful of size
Detailed Scores (white paper)
- no one on the call for this
Coded Nursing Documentation
Major Issue(s): Should we have different forms/tools and documentation content for different healthcare situations? The major situations are as follows:
- Triage Notes and Documentation of Nursing Care in ER
- Transfer Documentation from ER to Inpatient Hospital Nursing Unit.
- Documentation of Nursing Care in Outpatient Hospital Nursing Units.
- Documentation of Nursing Care on Inpatient Hospital Nursing Units.
- Transfer from an Inpatient Hospital Nursing Unit to another Inpatient Nursing Unit in same Hospital/Facility..
- Referral and Transfer from an Inpatient Hospital Nursing Unit to another Inpatient Hospital Nursing Unit e.g. Rehabilitation Hospital/Facility.
- Referral and Transfer from an Inpatient Hospital Nursing Unit to a Long Term Care Facility (Nursing Home)
- Referral from an Inpatient Hospital Nursing Unit to a Community/Home Health Nursing Agency for Home Health Nursing Services.
- Discharge Summary from Inpatient Hospital Nursing Unit to Home.
Action Items:
- Above are 9 different transfers of care being described, compose a list of data captured at each stage
- complete abstract for Vol 1
OB Labor and Delivery Record
- Ana:
- had a meeting with other individuals on 12/3/08 and has sparked their interest in participation in this profile
- reviewed APR and concerned about overlap between APR and Labor and Delivery Record with certain Vol 1 sections
Action Items:
- Ana: Coordinate and setup an webex specifically for Labor and Delivery for next week
- Work on abstract and use case
- Decide on a profile name - one suggestion: Labor and Delivery Record (including Labor and Delivery and Postpartum Discharge Summaries)
- Everyone: upload your document, forms, data element lists to the wiki for all to review (ask for help if needed)

- Reviewed Alean's comments on dstu doc: http://www.hl7.org/dstucomments/showdetail.cfm?dstuid=14 - much discussion around this
- Keith's suggestion: For Jan F2F have someone from ITI come and give overview of Risk Assessment
Pre-Hospital Care Report

- had discussions with Jim Kragh and NEMSIS folks about harmonization
