1) Connectathon Guidelines

• Gather input from national committees

• Action Item: Chris Carr to distribute for review (allow two weeks for review)

• Method of distribution after approval:

• Make general announcement to ihenews list

2) Monitor Recruitment and Training

• SIIM has made selections and sent out invitations for scholarship winners
• Steve, Lynn and Bill Majurski working on agenda for Oct. 21 meeting
• Need program to recruit monitors in other domains (esp, ITI, PCC)
• Potential recruiting targets:

• HITSP Work Group volunteers
• Showcase attendees: poster with flyer/form
• Action Item: Chris Carr and Lisa Spellman to work with Joyce Sensmeier to recruit HIT Standards Committee members: Invite them to designate someone from their organization (~25 organizations); listed on Website of ONC; Joyce may have contact info

• November/December training Webinars for new and returning monitors
• Action Item: Cor Loef to work with IHE Europe leadership to send similar recruiting letter to EPSOS members

3) Spring Connectathon Manager Training Event

• Feedback on Spring Connectathon dates

• Preference is for April-June dates; location to be determined
• Possibility of doing one European and one North American event

• Eric's group to provide faculty for European event: probably May in Paris
• Steve and Bill to be faculty for North American event: probably June dates in Chicago or DC

• Action Item: Bill, Eric and Steve to determine preferred dates and locations

• Target participants: IHE National Groups (eg, Japan, China, Australia); "Projectathons": national projects that have their own testing needs

4) Gazelle Status Update

• Set up call on linking Gazelle information and development pages to ihe.net domain
• Reviewed list of tasks on Gazelle Progress Tracker

5) Product Registry

• Volume of statements and traffic growing slowly
• Action Item: Chris Carr to send reminder messages to testing participants and broader news list
• Need administration functions, eg, linking or removing duplicate entries from a company (eg, Dejarnette vs Dejanette, inc.)

6) US Federal Health Architecture/NHIN Testing

• Goal to release technical specs to NHIN board by Oct. 1; testing to be based on NHIN gateway
• Need to have method of documenting crosswalk of conformance with IHE profiles/HITSP ISes and gaps; NHIN testing group taking back to ONC leadership

7) H1N1 Contingency Planning Update

• Guidelines confirm policy: no refund based on illness; companies responsible for providing backup
• Contingency plan for missing key staff/team members
• Monitors: encourage to get flu shots and H1N1 mist

8) Next tcon: Oct. 12

• Connectathon Manager testing dates, locations, recruiting message
• Review outcomes of MITA meeting
• Gazelle status update
