Update
- Eric Poiseau's lab working on control layer
- Actors available on the Internet for testing in October with Connectathon participants
Tcon with NIST
- Charles Parisot reported on NEMA discussion with NIST re ARRA support and tools development
  - Working on release of RFP for tools development; no date specified
  - Will try to bring together several efforts, including Gazelle; goal is "partial compatibility" with Gazelle, allowing Gazelle applications to run on the NIST testing platform via API, etc.
  - NIST continues to work with several parties: NHIN contractors, CCHIT/Mitre, HITSP, etc.
  - NHIN is contemplating testing of one or more reference implementations based on Connect gateway *** NHIN specification includes XCA and XCPD: Technical Leads are Tim Cromwell (Med VA), Omar Bouhaddou who work for David Riley at ONC; Gavin O'Brien is NIST contact
  - CCHIT is working with NHIN contractors using validation framework developed by Bill Majurski at NIST
  - Underlined need to coordinate development strategy and update NIST on Gazelle development
- Chris Carr has requested that Lisa and Rob participate in an update teleconference
  - Include strategic direction in discussion and recommend alignment of development on Gazelle platform
  - Plan for demonstration of Gazelle by end of August
IHE USA - act as coordinating body for testing activities; perform outreach to parties engaged in testing and tools development
