IHE DCC Documentation Work Group Teleconference Minutes 2012-02-07

Call moved from Monday, Feb 6th. Back to regular time in future. (Mondays at 3pm - 4pm CT).

Minutes:

• Confirm purpose of C-CDA call next week Monday, 2/13 at 9am CT.
  • Purpose of the call next week is to get Keith Boone's and Harry Solomon's input on new Consolidated CDA (C-CDA) specification from HL7. IHE needs a method for consistently and accurately/adequately expressing CDA content across domains. The current plan had been to model the IHE template from CIRC. What is the relationship between C-CDA and CIRC? Is there an international flavor of C-CDA? soon? Will CIRC need to be restructured? What are recommendations for the new IHE Supplement Template Section Z? Are there changes to cardinality and optionality between CIRC and C-CDA?

• Couple of specific questions on Vol 1, 2, 4 shells
  • The name of the document is Technical FrameworkS (note plural) General Introduction - change everywhere in Vol 1, 2, 4
  • Legal stuff needs to be replicated in every document, cannot reference it.
  • Teri to attempt to adjust Intended Audience in each of the document to be more specific
  • Add a template # and date to the footer of each document. Vol 1, 2, 4

• • Pharmacy and QRPH do not have any Final Text Supplements, so they will need to create Vol 1 and 2 "Final Text shells".
  • Dental and Endoscopy do not even have any supplements yet, they will most likely need separate phone calls to walk them through all of this new template info -> overwhelming.

• Comment sheet, final comment period for General Intro, Vol 1, 2, and 4 shells
  • A comment sheet has been created on DCC Doc WG wiki (in Working Documents section) to collect comments. The General Introduction, Vol 1, 2, and 4 shells will go out for one last review within the IHE Doc WG. The focus will be: spelling errors, grammatical errors, inconsistencies, any errors. We will stay away from word-smithing and making it "perfect". Comments due from Doc WG on FEb 27th.

• Plan going forward, see wiki - Doc WG wiki page reviewed - Teri added big table to track all of the documents.

• Update on NameSpace solution/implementation? - unclear who is going to do work to evaluate potential NameSpace solutions.

• Quick review of a White Paper Template -comments incorporated realtime. Already sent to DCC and put onto ftp server.

• Plan for next 3 calls:
  • 2/20 CALL CANCELED
  • 2/27 Focus on process to gather OID/UID/etc (NameSpace info, see white paper) from each domain; how to troll documentation
  • 3/5 Review Vol 1, 2, 4 and Gnrl Intro comments; wrap up those documents for distribution!!!!!
