Proposed proceess for nominating IHE-RO representatives to IHE board

1. For the inaugural election of the Domain Board representative to the IHE International Board:

1. The IHE-RO representative and alternate will be selected from the co-chairs of IHE-RO; IHE-RO Planning Committee, and IHE-RO Technical Committee.
2. The term of these positions will be, in general, for 2 years. The inaugural election will occur as IHE recommends, with the representative’s term set to 1 year, and the alternate’s term set to 2 years.
3. The Domain secretariat should ask for nominations from the co-chairs.
4. A vote will be conducted within the co-chairs and 2 domain sponsors. The nominee with the most votes becomes the representative (1 year term) and the nominee with the second most votes becomes the alternate (2 year term).
5. The terms for the representative and alternate should be offset by one year, with the intention that when the representative’s term expires, the alternate would become the representative, and a new volunteer would become the alternate.
6. Subsequent elections will be held during the IHE-RO meeting held in conjunction with the ASTRO AGM. (?)

For the inaugural election of an IHE-USA representative to the IHE International Board

1. The IHE-USA representative and alternate will be selected from the membership of the National / Regional Sponsoring organization residing in the USA.
2. The term of these positions will be for 2 years, commencing one week after the election. The inaugural election which will occur at a data to be determined, with the representative’s term set to 1 year, and the alternate’s term set to 2 years.
3. The Domain secretariat should ask for nominations from USA membership of ASTRO and any other National / Regional Sponsoring organization
4. A vote will be conducted within IHE recommended timeline. The nominee with the most votes becomes the representative (1 year term) and the nominee with the second most votes becomes the alternate (2 year term).
