- Lynn's recommendation is to deprecate the PDI/PMC/Basic Viewer portion in the BIR supplement, and move the rest to FT.
- BIR Implementers have indicated that PDI/PMC/Basic Viewer should be kept as-is. Thus Basic Viewer remains in BIR, but the Performance requirements have been removed via CP-RAD-519

- The BIR Image Display was successfully tested at the NA2012 and EU2012 Connectathons

- Lynn's recollection is that one year, probably around 2012, there was one vendor who thought they wanted to test the PDI/PMC/Basic Viewer option but at the Connectathon itself, it was immediately evident that the vendor had not read the requirements, and no testing was even attempted

- Are there IHE-provided software testing tools to address all aspects of the profile?
- Sort of.
- Requirements in BIR are best tested by observation and not software tools. David Clunie compiled a BIR-specific image set and detailed accompanying test plan that was used for BIR/ID Connectathon testing; good coverage of functionality, but not 100%. This is not a test tool but was proper method for supporting testing of profile requirements
- Have the standards underlying the profile been implemented? In similar use cases? In healthcare? In general IT?
- Yes

- Radiology CD/DVD media burner vendors provided input to the technical committee regarding FT (and CP-RAD-519) during a call held June 2023
