Rationale

Rationale Birth Records (or Vital Statistics) requires the number of office visits the mother had during her pregnancy, as well as the date of the first and last visits, to generate the Certificate of Birth (or Death/Stillbirth). Communication of the information electronically will assist in expedited creation of the Certificate.

Committee response: this data is captured within the APS, how it is viewed in any given system is an implementation detail and out of scope for the profile. It would be possible that this could be part of a white paper in future work.
