IHE Pharmacy addresses information sharing, workflow and patient care in both community and hospital pharmacies.

IHE Pharmacy is sponsored by the EAHP, NICTIZ, Phast and GMSIh and manages the Pharmacy Profiles and the Frameworks .

Current Activity

The Technical Committee is currently working on 3 candidate Integration Profiles:

Basic Community Pharmacy Integration Profile
- publish & pull prescriptions, access to dispensed medication & pharmaceutical advice
Basic Hospital Pharmacy Integration Profile
- transfer prescription, access to dispensed medication, medication administration
Inter-Pharmacy Coordination Integration Profile
- Hospital admission/discharge and transfer of medication/prescriptions between hospital-pharmacist and community-pharmacist
