Technical Committee Update

  • Need to publish the updated Technical Framework - CC
  • Put user handbooks on the Framework page.

==Reviewed Timeline, Roadmap and Strategy for 2009-2010 Profile Development cycle

   - Image Sharing as continuing theme: gap analysis on Roadmap
       - Sharing of imaging data with EHR portal systems (standards work in progress - WG27 on Web Services); gaps in security issues
       - Sharing of image data with specialized applications for surgery and other medical specialties
       - Sharing of image data across afinity domains and sharing with PHR systems to create/maintain patient longitudinal record
       - Consistency of distributed objects
       - Mapping of distributed workflow across sites (eg, referal, acquisition and reporting at separate sites)
   - Identify broader strategic issues for Radiology Roadmap
       - Image sharing gaps (see above)
       - Next generation reporting: key to get clinical, industry participation; consider maturity of standards (current year work product may be white paper)
       - Quality metrics (including dose monitoring)
       - Next generation department workflow

   - Planning Cmte holds meeting/tcon to select profiles on Thursday, Oct. 22, 10am-12pm CT
