CDS Discussion Notes

Based on the discussion of Clinical Decision Support it was agreed that provision of elements for direct incorporation in the EHR of operational elements is a different use case that will take additional evaluation. It was agreed that a White Paper evaluating various standards for clinical decision support was needed with respect to identifying gaps and overlaps in existing standards. The current profile review to specify a measure / query to the EHR from external sources is limited to identifying the appropriate population (sub-population) of interest, and defining the dataset required for analysis.
