Status updates
- Exam status update
- There are 15 people interested to take the exam at the IHE Connectathon in Brussels.
- Is the exam too outdated / inaccurate? How far off are we? Can we remove outdated questions from the exam? Is there enough time?
- Shall we provide an exam in Brussels?
- Decision: We will not provide “renew” exams.
- Decision: We will provide the exam for “newcomers” at the Connectathon
- Option 1: We will provide the exam for “newcomers” without changes. Candidates get the option to take the renewed exam that we will provide later in the year!? They would then get the certificate?
- Decision: Option 2: We do quick fixes on the exam to take out questions that are severely outdated. A exam review team will do these changes under coordination from Werner:
- Laura and Matt are fine with ITI
- Aaron can do governance
- ToDo: Aaron will ask Mohannad Hussain to cover radiology and provide information to Werner
- Decision: We will try the quick fix. The review team will provide a report until the next meeting 12th March. We will then decide to go for Option 1 or Option 2.
- ToDo: Werner will provide exam questions for review via secure channel to the exam review team.
- ToDo: Aaron will coordinate with Sophia about the day and time of the exam at the Connectathon in Brussels. He will provide this to Werner.
Membership and Governance of the Education Committee
- A call went out to invite new members into the IHE Education Committee
- (ToDo from 20th January 2026 - completed)
- We still need to be more proactive on increase participation and engagement
- Election of the leadership of the IHE Education Committee
- Stefan has nominated himself as Co-Chair
- Aaron sent out an invitation to the group to vote via online Google tools.
- Aaron shares the results. 6 vote were casted.
- Stefan Sauermann has been elected as a Chair for the IHE Education Committee
Schema, Exam and Syllabus
- (ToDos from 20th January 2026 were to provide document versions for public review - completed)
- See the draft documents available for [public comment on Google Drive]:
- [IHE_CPP_Processes_V0.22_ForComment.docx]
- Werner has provided text to describe the AI augmented process of updating the exam.
- There sure are other issues the require updates - please revise!
- [IHE_Foundations_Exam_Syllabus_V1.1_ForComment.docx]
- See the comments in the draft. We need to plan how to revise the sections of the syllabus, so that the required expertise and knowledge comes in.
- The document is still open for comments and will remain open for the time being
- The Syllabus of the IHE Foundations Exam is a “General purpose introduction”
- It establishes the “common language”
- Werner reports that those who took the exam were happy with this. It has served the purpose.
- Once we have updated the IHE Foundation Level Exam, we will explore the market, also looking for additional, more technical levels
- We will be happy about “market” information, to receive further input. Let us use opportunities to collect input:
- Connectathon in Brussels March 2026
- There will be a Connectathon in October 12-16 2026 in Washington DC
Planning towards the Connectathon in Brussels March 2026
- Eva has provided an agenda for the "Education" session at the CAT in Brussels
- This is scheduled for Tuesday, 24th March 2026, 9am-1pm
- The agenda has a 30 minute slot in the morning to report about the activities of the IHE Education Committee
- Mathias and Stefan are already listed in the program for this session
- Seems we are good to go.
