  • Review progress on CRC/CIRC/EPRC harmonization - Discussion with Jerry Serwer and David Slotwiner about the proposed harmonization. They agreed this is a worthwhile project. This was also presented to Mary Jungers as way to streamline implementations with CDA. It is still unclear if this is a pure new profile, or considered an update for existing profile. There are no known commercial installations for this product that would be put at risk. If there was a specific need for a region, e.g. a national or regional deployment extension [Vol. 4 content] could be created. This would still require balloting and confirmation that this aligns with our strategy. Radiology Domain has seen this with various versions of HL7 messaging in Japan vs. other countries. A review of the meeting schedule was discussed. Art Decor is being considered. Gazelle, is used by IHE Europe to develop test tools. A discussion will occur at our upcoming meeting to make a decision for preferred CDA authoring tool. All of the tools have limitations including the ability to produce PDFs as required by IHE Vol 1 and 2 guidelines.
  • Update on PCC PoC Medical Device Tracking (PMDT) profile proposal - Proposing to define a FHIR resource profile to make associations between devices and operator with a UDI. It is not a complex activity. We will submit cardiology use cases to ensure we are represented. Target completion date is early Feb 2017.
  • Update on publication milestones for 2017 - Chris Melo reviewed the spreadsheet with tentative dates for the public comment time frames. Mary Jungers will be kept up to date for these estimates. More refinements will be discussed.
  • Preliminary agenda for December 7-8 F2F meeting - We are still waiting to hear from Nakano Shinichi regarding agenda time for IHE-Japan updates. We will also include updates from the Radiology Domain.
  • Harmonization across National Deployment Committees - Suggested by Charles Parisot to provide better communication between domains in the real world applications of profiles. This will allow for the variations that are inevitable with the wide range of workflows and processes. This could provide increased feedback on specs and an additional technical insights. In general, this would be well received by Cardiology.

Open Issues: 1. The IHE Process for bringing these profiles together and retiring the old version. Mary Jungers will join the F2F to discuss publication details. 2. Access to CDA authoring tools can limit the ability of reviewers to work with profiles. Several open source solutions are being considered by several domains. 3. National extensions will not be discussed this year due to the complexity of details. 4. Which deployment committees would it be helpful for Cardiology to engage with in a prioritized way.
