Effort Assessment

The Technical Committee evaluated the required effort of the Detailed Proposals as follows in tcons on Sep 29, Sep 9, & Sept 17.

It was felt useful this cycle to produce two "Min" assessments; one for a "Min Profile" and one for a "Whitepaper". The TC and PC will discuss if this was productive and how/whether to formally incorporate this into the process in the future.

The Imaging Diagnostic Report proposal revised its scope to withdraw the Full effort and use Min or WP if selected.

Short Listing

On Aug 5, 2025, the Planning Committee selected a shortlist of Brief Proposals.

All 4 submitted proposals will be assessed by the Radiology Technical Committee.

They were provisionally ranked:

2. (28 pts) Manifest-Based Access to DICOM Objects (MADO)
3. (15 pts) Radiology AI Metadata Index
4. ( 9 pts) Radiation Exposure Monitoring Patient (REM – PRDSR)

Process

1. Call for Proposals

Interested parties are invited to submit proposal pages based on the Brief Proposal Template.

You are also welcome to update and resubmit proposals from last year or earlier.

Submission DEADLINE is July 21, 2025, 11:59pm CT

2. Detailed Proposals

On or after August 5, 2025 the Planning Committee selects a shortlist of Brief Proposals which the Proposal Editors will then expand into Detailed Proposals.

Editors: by COB Aug 26, 2025

• Complete the Breakdown of Tasks with a strawman estimate of story points:
• Expand your Brief Proposal to include Detailed Proposal elements

• Copy the Delta Proposal Template into the bottom of your proposal page
• Update as described in the Delta Template (adds Summary, Technical Details, Evaluation, etc.)

• Your goal is to give sufficient detail for the Tech Cmte to be able to evaluate the technical feasibility, specification tasks and effort required.

Reviewers: Feel free to enter comments under Risks and Decisions/Topics/Uncertainties section of the proposal

Tech Cmte records evaluations at the bottom of each detailed proposal. The "Breakdown of Tasks" and "Story Point" refinements to the Proposal Effort Evaluation are in the Google Sheet.

3. Effort Evaluations

The Technical Committee will evaluate the required effort of the Detailed Proposals in tcons in September 2025.

4. Final Selection

On October 1, 2025, the Planning Committee will make the Final Selection of the proposals which will be developed by the Technical Committee.
