Announcements on the NIST Tools

John Garguilo is evaluating priorities; most changes minor. PIV and ACM have some.

John will provide a NIST tool tutorial on an upcoming Tuesday meeting.

John and a consultant will discuss IAMGT in a special WebEx tomorrow.

HIMSS14 Interoperability Showcase

The HIMSS Showcase Planning group meets Monday-Wednesday next week in Cleveland. They will identify the vignettes and assign systems to each. Therefore,

Data from the Doodle poll provided the first pass at possible assignments. These were distributed via email before the meeting and were reviewed during the meeting. Manny described how to interpret the Doodle and subsequent analysis.

Comments, suggestions and updates were solicited.

HIMSS is in discussion with FDA on showcase presence – primarily UDI; will follow up next week

Timeline for HIMSS Showcase -

Set up Sat Feb 22 – Feb 23

If shipped equipment - come at 8AM Saturday to locate equipment; if Carry in come at 10AM

Layout with masking tape, and carpenters install wall mounts - all must be present on time to determine where each item will go

Teardown Wed night

AAMI 2014 PCD Demonstration

Because a commitment to AAMI is required by the end of the month for the space planning started much earlier this year.

The discussion, planning was summarized later this day in emails. AAMI, ACCE and HIMSS were notified that there was sufficient interest to request a 10x50 booth, develop the contract, and include a marketing budget. The email summary to this WG is in the GG archive.

Participants are all in favor of increased presence and marketing

Possible layout and expenses were described
