published in 2009 was reviewed by Michelle Williamson and by Hetty Khan from CDC Vital Records. Michelle filled out a comment sheet which was integrated in the MCH profile by Dr. Charles Rica. National extensions will be described in a separate chapter, (especially if applied to national projects such as HITSP or epSOS.) Waiting for the content of C 170 - Vital Records Pre-Populate Component.
- Redaction Services Profile - Landen Bain
This profile describes a mechanism to filter the data before being pushed out from an EHR to a Research centre based on various protocols. This can be extended to Quality and Public Health. There is an idea for role-based access which seems very interesting. It must be noted that this is an extraction specification and not a redaction specification (the “filtered”) data does not make it out of the system.
Redaction Services could be nested into the RPE profile. Still to do:
- Landen is asking for input form Public Health
- Amit will help with the volume 2 – organization and semantics.
- Volume 1: Options and grouping
- Analyze if we need more use cases in Volume 1 – input from EDHI or Public Health Cancer Registry.
Amit proposes a way to tailor this to Public Health as a general use case, and not case by case. Although this profile is used more in research, it can be applied to Public Health Cases as well.
