Status Syllabus and Schema

  • In the IHE Education Committee call on 12th March 2026 we decided to address the comments from the public review of the Syllabus and the Schema until this call 28th May 2026. So we will discuss the applied changes to the documents.
  • Werner has provided text to describe the AI augmented process of updating the exam.
  • There sure are other issues the require updates - please revise!
  • In the call on 12th March 2026 we decided that the a further public review phase should last until the next call on 16th June 2026.

  • No comments have arrived since January 2026
  • We want to continue this work and revise the Syllabus and the Processes document
  • We have to change our approach
  • We will change the time plan, and adapt to the situation

  • Discussion: Our calls for participation in this committee and beyond have not resulted in new members of the IHE Education Committe. Also we do not see any comments in the documents that are under public review. We therefore need to extend our efforts to add membership and workforce.
  • One effort will send messages via selected channels
  • In addition we will ask specific individuals for specific contributions on specific sections of specific documents - we will distribute specific tasks

  • Messages via selected channels
  • Send out an invite to all IHE Certified Professionals who passed the Foundation Level Exam
  • ToDo for Aaron with Werner, once the contract arrangements have been settled between IHE and GASQ - data sharing is an issue
  • Adaptions highly welcome, to add attraction
  • Matt will send out a note on chat.fhir.org. They have a IHE oriented channel. (This may not be the primary channel - Matt will explore)
  • Connectathon ZULIP?
  • Aaron to send messages to IHE channels?

  • Distribute specific tasks - We will split the work into two lanes:
  • Process document plus section "A_Org: Orientation on the IHE organisation" of the Syllabus
  • ToDo: Werner and Aaron to focus on these more "management" related elements of ICP
  • Syllabus sections B to E
  • ToDo: Mathias and Stefan and Matt to focus on these more "technical" elements of ICP

  • Use the opportunity at the USA IHE Connectathon in Arlington in October, to engagee with the community
  • We will present the IHE ICP there in the status it then is. We will also present modes of engagement
  • Aaron, Werner and Matt had to leave the call at the hour
  • ToDo: Stefan and Mathias will plan further meeting schedule and agendas to reflect todays call.

Next call

There are mismatches between the electronic invites for the EduCom calls and the meeting schedule that is available on the EduCom wiki page. This has made attending the calls challenging in the past months. Electronic invites are "repeating", our call schedule is not in strict regular sequence.

The next call was scheduled for 16th June. We need to re-schedule this: 2026-06-23 9:00am - 10:00am CT, Chicago time (16:00 - 17:00 CEST, Brussels time)

ToDo: Stefan will message IHE admins to assure that consistent calendar events go out for the 23rd June call and for all future calls.
