Outcome of the Connectathon Week in Brussels 23rd-28th March 2026

• IHE CPP and plans for review was presented. Positive responses.
• Question arises if all people have access who want to be part of the edu group
  • ToDo all: Search for emails in personal email accounts, and report to Ken Fuchs or Hagan Horn, to accept new members into the Google Group
  • ToDo Stefan: Linked IN request to join edu group by Stefan, refer to IHE Austria, notify Sofia to have this duplicated by IHE Europe

Status Syllabus and Schema

• In the IHE Education Committee call on 12th March 2026 we decided to close the initial public review period of the Syllabus and the Schema by April 26th 2026. So we will discuss the comments that came in. We will plan how to address them until the next meeting.
  • ToDo: Everyone asks in his/her community directly for specialists to review the documents.

Academic engagement

• ToDo: Engagement for academic partners. Aaron aims for north America IHE Connectathon, October 2026 in Arlington, to set up an education track
• Further ideas for academic engagement
  • Poster session as opportunity for projects and thesis, at Connectathons - The idea is perceived quite well.
  • Internship and volunteering at the conferences, connectathons as part of operational staff

Offer to help for cross institutional work on education with HL7 - Mathias Offer to help setting up and growing the academic education environment - Mathias and Matt ToDo Aaron: Tease these ideas to selected academic institution, and report about feedback
