National Deployment Committees
- Decision: Approved
- Decision: Approved
- Key learning of both reports
- IHE XDS/XCA is currently still around, but considered as "legacy". No interest in testing in Japan, no interest in education in Netherlands
- Important messaging: IHE is broader than just XDS and Radiology!
- Backwards compatibility / migration scenarios are important
- Discussion on how to present Deployment Committee reports
- Added value is clearly the "discussion" on the reports
- Having 2 reports in a call is critical regarding timing, but has an added value, because you can compare them
- Suggestion:
- Restrict presentation time to 10-15min
- Presenters need to present the "most important points"
- Afterwards discussion
- Chair together with presenter note the most important points in the minutes
- Those were reported as sort of "executive summary" in the board call
- Current National/Regional Deployment Committee commitments to provide reports:
- IHE Germany
- IHE USA
- Call for overdue reports based on the above schedule, singling out attendees attending this meeting
Special Presentation
- None
Future Special Presentations and tentative schedule 2024
- IHE Catalyst update on IHE Europe Connectathon including implications to DC (Claudio Saccavini)
- General IHE Catalyst Update (Lapo Bertini)
- Netherland's setting up of a National Test and Validation Center (Tie Tjee)
- UK Special Interest Group: Digital Pathology (Robin Breslin, IHE UK)
- Question: is there a relation to the Netherlands Pathology? (Evert checks)
Skipped due to time
Work-item: Volume 4 of the Technical Framework - implications for National Deployment Committees
- New IHE publication framework, and the impact on Volume 4 of the Technical Framework documents - implications for National Deployment Committees (John Moehrke)
- Discuss how IHE Europe is thinking about better utilization of Volume 4, and get the Asia perspective
- Europe will be in the need to create "European IHE profiles" for the EHDS
- John: Now is a good time to look on new ways on managing Volume 4 in terms of governance, etc.
- Introduction of "realms" for regions is in discussion (e.g., US, Europe, ...)
- Governance for that needs still to be created
- This work should happen in the GDC for later approval by the board
- Jürgen: After collecting requirements by calls like this, at some point we need to form a task-force/workgroup to seriously work on the governance
