National Deployment Committees

  • IHE XDS/XCA is currently still around, but considered as "legacy". No interest in testing in Japan, no interest in education in Netherlands
  • Important messaging: IHE is broader than just XDS and Radiology!
  • Backwards compatibility / migration scenarios are important
  • Discussion on how to present Deployment Committee reports
  • Added value is clearly the "discussion" on the reports
  • Having 2 reports in a call is critical regarding timing, but has an added value, because you can compare them
  • Suggestion:
  • Restrict presentation time to 10-15min
  • Presenters need to present the "most important points"
  • Afterwards discussion
  • Chair together with presenter note the most important points in the minutes
  • Those were reported as sort of "executive summary" in the board call
  • Current National/Regional Deployment Committee commitments to provide reports:
  • IHE Germany
  • IHE USA
  • Call for overdue reports based on the above schedule, singling out attendees attending this meeting

  • UK Special Interest Group: Digital Pathology (Robin Breslin, IHE UK)
  • Question: is there a relation to the Netherlands Pathology? (Evert checks)

Work-item: Volume 4 of the Technical Framework - implications for National Deployment Committees

  • New IHE publication framework, and the impact on Volume 4 of the Technical Framework documents - implications for National Deployment Committees (John Moehrke)
  • Discuss how IHE Europe is thinking about better utilization of Volume 4, and get the Asia perspective
  • Europe will be in the need to create "European IHE profiles" for the EHDS
  • John: Now is a good time to look on new ways on managing Volume 4 in terms of governance, etc.
  • Introduction of "realms" for regions is in discussion (e.g., US, Europe, ...)
  • Governance for that needs still to be created
  • This work should happen in the GDC for later approval by the board
  • Jürgen: After collecting requirements by calls like this, at some point we need to form a task-force/workgroup to seriously work on the governance
