Exam updates

• Exam status update- reviewing progress from the ToDos of the last meeting:

• ToDo (2026-02-17): Aaron will ask Mohannad Hussain to cover radiology and provide information to Werner
• Decision (2026-02-17): We will provide the exam for “newcomers” at the Connectathon

• Option 1 (2026-02-17): We will provide the exam for “newcomers” without changes. Candidates get the option to take the renewed exam that we will provide later in the year!? They would then get the certificate?
• Option 2 (2026-02-17): We do quick fixes on the exam to take out questions that are severely outdated. A exam review team will do these changes under coordination from Werner:

• Decision (2026-02-17): We will try the quick fix towards Option 2. The review team will provide a report until the next meeting 12th March. We will then decide to go for Option 1 or Option 2.
• ToDo (2026-02-17): Werner will provide exam questions for review via secure channel to the exam review team.
• ToDo (2026-02-17): Aaron will coordinate with Sophia about the day and time of the exam at the Connectathon in Brussels. He will provide this to Werner.
• Aaron reports that issues were detected in a small number of questions. These are fixable (typos), some are minor issues.
• Matt mentions that he suggested changes to some of the questions.
• Werner mentions that questions may be replaced. We then need to replace these with new questions. The total number of questions must remain.

• ToDo Matt and Aaron: Provide questsions updates to Werner by 13th March 2026. Werner will then put these into the exam for the CAT Week in Brussels.

• Werner has taken steps to organise the IHE ICP "Foundation Level" exam during the Connectathon in Brussels

• There is a room, there are persons to supervise, Monday 22nd?? Aaron will provide info to Werner (Follow up with Sophia)
• Werner will be in Brussels

Schema, Exam and Syllabus

• Werner has provided text to describe the AI augmented process of updating the exam.
• There sure are other issues the require updates - please revise!

• See the comments in the draft. We need to plan how to revise the sections of the syllabus, so that the required expertise and knowledge comes in.
• The document is still open for comments and will remain open for the time being

• The Syllabus of the IHE Foundations Exam is a “General purpose introduction”

• It establishes the “common language”
• Werner reports that those who took the exam were happy with this. It has served the purpose.
• Once we have updated the IHE Foundation Level Exam, we will explore the market, also looking for additional, more technical levels
• We will be happy about “market” information, to receive further input. Let us use opportunities to collect input:

• Connectathon in Brussels March 2026
• There will be a Connectathon in October 12-16 2026 in Washington DC
• ToDo all: We want the Syllabus, Schema and Exam to be available by the Connectathon in October 12-16 2026 in Washington DC, USA

• Werner estimates that the exam development takes some weeks before human review can start. If we get the Syllabus in July it seems feasible to have the exam ready in October.

• ToDo all: limit the current public review period to 26th April 2026, then adapt changes until next meeting 28th May 2026, then start public review, and finish this before the meeting 16th June. Then start another drafting period and then vote on the documents in July

Planning towards the Connectathon in Brussels March 2026

• Status of planning the "Education Workshop" at the CAT in Brussels? Any news?

• This is scheduled for Tuesday, 24th March 2026, 9am-1pm
• Is the program of the session available anywhere?
• ToDo: Mathias and Stefan to draft slides for this workshop and share to the Education Committee around 18th March 2026

• ToDo Aaron: Provide IHE slide template

• IHE Board Meeting, Tuesday afternoon, 4-5.30pm

• There is an open part of the Board Meeting
• Aaron invited relevant stakeholders into that part
• We want to present a brief update about the IHE Education Committee
• Slides may be possible. We can reuse the slides from the "Education session" earlier in the morning.
• Aaron reports that there is appetite to go further in Education. There may be a cooperation with HL7.
