Minutes

  • Update on finding facilitator: Have gathered names of two candidates. Both are experienced facilitators; one has experience in the non-profit field.
  • Action Item: Chris Carr to request their availability, detailed qualifications and terms.
  • Goal is to have information to present for approval on April 12 Board tcon
  • Action Item: Chris Carr to send out save the date for July 12-13
  • Develop agenda in coordination with facilitator
  • Set general goals for outcomes of retreat
  • Come to consensus on Mission Statement
  • Focus on strategy, rather than process. Develop strategic objectives and principles that help achieve them. This could include guidance to improve consistency of process for domain and deployment committees--and all committees of IHE. Broad direction that can be operationalized by these groups.
  • Principles for domain process consistency as one example of guidance.
  • Proposed retreat goals:
  • Develop a mission statement
  • Develop a strategic vision for IHE and application of that vision to all the parts of IHE.
  • Domain development activities: develop a set of strategic objectives (existing and new) and a set of principles that will be used by all deployment related committees to meet those objectives. Domain dewelopment activities are part of the domain committees and testing and tools committee.
  • Deployment activities: develop a set of strategic objectives and a set of principles that will be used by all deployment related committees to meet those objectives. Deployment activities are part of the deployment committees and testing and tools committee.
  • Marketing and Communication activities: develop a set of strategic objectives and a set of principles that will be used by all marketing and communications related committees to meet those objectives.
