GDC Minutes 2023-05-03

Welcome

Derek presented the IHE Canada Deployment Committee report. This will be Derek's last meeting as IHE Canada liaison... the GDC thanked Derek for his years of excellent service!
The report was APPROVED by the GDC for submission to the IHE International Board
Derek highlighted that some IHE profiles were no longer in use (he called them deadwood), and John asked that these be listed for feedback to the respective domain committees (Action: Attila)
Tie advised the group that the Netherlands has a "National SDO" that is fashioned in a similar way to how SDO affiliates are bundled together in Canada under Infoway. There is also a parallel to how international SDO's collaborate together at the Joint Initiative Council.

Canada presented many learnings that could possibly benefit other Deployment Committees, in addition to valuable feedback to various IHE products and processes (Domain committees, Connectathon processes, tools, vendor engagement, etc.)
Canada has adopted a Patient Summary for Canada (PS:CA) that is "99% aligned" with the IPS. Canada hopes to provide CP's to IHE that makes this alignment 100%.
