TF Version

Volume and Section
Vol 2, section: Medications 1.3.6.1.4.1.19376.1.5.3.1.4.7

Rationale

Rationale

The footnote on the Product field, stating that "A consumable is not neccessary when the substanceAdministration code indicates none or unknown medications." does not seem correct:

1) the code element is within the consumable element; 2) CDA R2 schema insists on a consumable element.

Suggest remove the footnote.

1/29/09 need to remove footnote, but also need to provide better guidance as to what to do when the medication is unknown touch base with Vassil and George on this

5/4/09 needs further analysis to determine how to handle this - need to specify how to represent null value causes failure of schema validation still need to touch base with Vassil

9/11/2009 moving to Cancelled as this is being replaced with CP-PCC-0070
