IHE-E is an initiative which was created in 2005 by the SERAM (Spanish Medical Radiology Society), SEFM (Spanish Medical Phyisics Society), HL-7 Spain and SEIS (Spanish Society for Healthcare Informatics).

Today several institutions join IHE-E: SERGAS (Galicia Regional Healthcare authority), SESCAM (Castilla-La Mancha Regional Healthcare authority), ... . Full list of institutions and vendors
