- I placed some (more academic) slides on the FTP where various definitions of a SOA are given ([[1]]). What I think is important is that SOA refers to an architectural style (so its neither a pattern nor a methodology..). Using the "vocabulary" of actors and transactions, defining their semantics, and providing rules for connecting them, IHE currently uses its own "style".
