Overview
This white paper provides an overview of the Service-oriented Device Connectivity (SDC) standards, implementations and tools, and explores how this type of device-to-device communication architecture can be integrated into IHE technical framework elements (profiles, volumes 1 / 2 / 3, etc.), and how these devices and systems can be tested within IHE connectathon and conformity assessment programs. Certification of SDC-enabled devices and systems is the ultimate goal, targeting the 2021 time frame. The white paper will include specific profiling project proposals as well as a roadmap and timeline.
