  • Meeting goal: Have documents ready for Public Comment. Vote is needed on Thursday, 2/4.

  • 08:30-11:00: Technical Framework Maintenance, incl. JP-NEX (2.5)
    • Action: Committee needs to think about the possibility of 2 transactions (resembling Rad 35 and 25).

11:00-12.30: Cross-Enterprise Read of Imaging(1.5)

12:30-13:30: Lunch

  • 13:30-15.30: Technical Framework Maintenance, JP-NEX continued (4.5)
    • The RAD-28 – Structured Report Export – currently assumes that the HL7 ORU is triggered by a DICOM SR. There is value in defining the ORU for sending results w/o having a DICOM SR.
    • The following list contains updates that would be needed in the transaction. These were compiled in a RAD TC discussion (Feb 1, 2016). The list may not be exhaustive:
      • RAD TF-2:4.28.1 - update Scope description to ensure that it allows for use of the ORM in the case where we are not mapping from a DICOM SR
      • 4.28.3.1.1- add trigger event specific to the non-SR use case
      • 4.28.3.1.2 - update reference to standards to add HL7 v2.5; Consider adding a separate subsection called “Referenced Standards” that contains both 2.3.1 and 2.5
      • In message semantics, add HL7v2.5 semantics sub-sections, following the model that we have already used in HL7 transactions used in SWF.b that have 2.3.1 and 2.5 requirements
      • 4.28.3.1.2 - The current requirements in the profile do not constrain use of OBR-32 “Principal Results Interpreter”. Need to raise the bar on optionality (base standard optionality is “O”) and specify how the attribute is to be populated
      • Ensure Accession Number is included in the ORU
      • 4.28.4 - Consider moving the mapping from DICOM SR to the ORU to an appendix
      • Table 4.28-9
        • update OBX-3
        • update OBX-5
        • update the table to add ‘hand-wavy’ guidance on how to map fields from imaging studies (vs a DICOM SR)
        • Change optionality on imaging-related data from Required to Optional
        • This table contains specifications for observations with a status of F (Final). Need to profile Preliminary reports as well.
      • Fix OBX-3 for Report Text to remove SR-specific requirements
    • (for consideration by IHE-J): Is ORC-5 Order Status needed in RAD-28 to support their workflows?

15:30-17:00: Cross-Enterprise Read of Imaging (3)

    • Reviewed the CP and getting ready for Public Comment

  • 11:30-12:30: Technical Framework Maintenance - Discuss MRRT CP-307 and MHD-I CP-314 (8)
    • MHDI decision is to have 2 separate profiles. One using WADO-RS. Second one WADO-URI. Radiology will work with DICOM Working Group 20 to update the ImagingObjectSelection resource to support WADO-URI.

  • 12:30-13:30: Lunch

  • 13:30-15:30: REM for Radiopharmaceutical Imaging (5)
    • Completed line by line review.

  • 15:30-17:00: Cross-Enterprise Read of Imaging (9.5)
    • Action: Mauro has asked for individual review as input to his edits prior to next f2f. Spend time tomorrow identifying who will do this work.

Finish working thru the transaction/diagram reviewed today. Results of tidyup will get circulated to the committee. Those that can provide comments prior to April will do so. April meeting will do line by line review so we can get it out for Public Comment. Need to determine action plan on how to get it out for TI.
