IHE Board Representation

• Term of current representative (Kevin O'Donnell) has expired
  • Committee may choose to re-authorise current representative or select a new one

• Motion: Open call for nominations or self-nominations

• Approved unanimously.

• Action Item: Chris Carr to issue call for nominations. Allow two weeks for nominations. Hold election on June Radiology Planning Committee call.

• IHE Radiology Domain Report is due
  • Selected representative should prepare

• May need to ask for extension of due date to have newly elected Board representative develop

Rad Plan Cochair Election

• A Current co-chair (Kevin O'Donnell) is long past term limit written into IHE Governance
  • Need to coordinate election of a new co-chair

• Motion: Open call for nominations or self-nominations

• Approved unanimously.

• Action Item: Chris Carr to send out call for nominations. Leave open for two weeks. Announce ballot and hold election on June Planning Committee call.

Profile Status Reviews

• Tech Cmte has recommended IHE REM go to Final Text (per Final Text Process)
  • Plan Cmte needs to review REM FT Evaluation and decide

• It has been suggested other profiles (e.g. FUS) should be Evaluated for Retirement

IHE Radiology Webinar Session

• Annual series includes presentations from each domain focusing on what's new

• Keep content high level with goal of motivating product managers to approve implementation
• Topics/authors:

Educational Sessions at RSNA 2011

• The following time slots are available for presenting IHE sessions:

1. Sunday - 11:00am - 12:30pm (was Monitoring Radiation Exposure: Standards, Tools and IHE REM and given in the 4:00pm - 5:30pm Sunday slot last year)
2. Monday - 4:30pm - 6:00pm -
3. Tuesday - 2:30pm - 4:00pm (was Sharing Images on CD, DVD and USB: Standards, Tools and IHE PDI II32 and given in the 12:30 - 2:00 slot last year)

Wednesday - None (last year held two classes at 10:30pm - 2:00 - Sharing Images between sites: Standards, Tools and IHE XDS-I II42 and 2:30 -4:00 -Digital Mammography Workflow: Standards, Tools and IHE MAMMO- II43)

4. Thursday - 10:30am - 12:00pm (was IHE for IT Administrators: Implementation Considerations, Electronic Measurements and Reports- II53 given at the 2:30 - 4:00 slot)

XDS Imaging Report Format Divergence

• A great many variations of imaging report documents are being observed in XDS deployments
  • text, pdf, cda, sr, pdf wrapped in DICOM, pdf wrapped in CDA, etc
  • variations in meta-data

• Action Item: Frame problem for evaluation by Radiology Technical committee as part of evaluation of XDS-I to advance fro final test

IHE Cardiology Profile Demonstrations

• IHE Card is considering moving their demonstrations from ACC Conf. to HIMSS and/or RSNA to reach a more receptive audience
  • Does IHE Rad Plan have any suggestions? Should we start coordinating inclusion in the RSNA 2012 demo?
