- Addresses demands for standardized baseline viewer by AMA, AANS, ACR, etc.
- Dovetails with PDI to allow access to images for referring physicians
- Profile would set baseline functional criteria and set some broad parameters for user interface
- Physician groups may still persist in seeking development of a mandatory baseline viewer
- Profile development challenge will be organizing participants and gaining satisfactory consensus (while avoiding "buttonology")
