10:00 - 11:00 Cross-domain supply proposal (Jose)

  • Jose's slides shown
  • Discussion
  • Marco: HL7 and GS1 have a Memorandum of Understanding and GS1 is deep into this topic
  • Jürgen: Several cross-domain topics are at hand which are not directly related to the patient - idea is to create a new IHE domain for those topics (energy, supply, ...)
  • Jose: Proposal "Healthcare operations" domain
  • Leonidas: Supply chain is also related to the patient. Is divided in two parts: "Anonymous supply" and "Supply related to the patient"
  • Jose: Yes, there is a very strong connection of supply to the clinical part but still the most part lies in the operational area. Development has to start in Pharmacy, but we should keep in mind that we develop a supply model over all domains.
  • Simon: Shall we continue the whitepaper just focused for Pharmacy in parallel to the big picture?
  • Jacqueline: So our current work is divided into a "back-office" and "front-office" part?
  • back-office: all the preparation area, all the way of organizing the supply, purchasing, all which is not seen from the outside
  • front-office: all the outside world is "seeing" of the hospital pharmacy (nurses, physicians, ...)

12:30 - 13:00 Discussion about adoption of Pharmacy profiles

  • Discussion
  • Jose: Next step should be from our side that more vendors relate to our profiles. Supply chain could be a driver for that.
  • Jürgen: In Community Pharmacy national programs and projects are the main driver for vendors to implement profiles
  • Jacqueline: Use-cases should describe a situation "in the future". Being visionary could enchorage venors to implement profiles.
  • Leonidas: In Hospital Pharmacy Automation is a driver
