• Vision of revamping HWM including FHIR proposal (Jose, Marc)

• Discussion

• HMW should be reworked for ease of adoption

• Optionality of transactions
• Small updates (security, typos...)
• Grouped actors
• this discussion touches the many aspects needed for validating prescriptions, so new actions are expected.

• Action items:

• For HMW review, we should try to use the new IHE template.
• Capturing / adding to list of use cases and domains that may impact /be impacted by this "validation" topic.
• Jose and Jacqueline volunteer to write it and submit to planning committee for further action.

• FHIR

• Jürgen suggests that could be like the HMW.b - a new version of the same transactions, based on the new technical standard.
• Jürgen asks for the timelines and if a publication is possible. Discussion that the time to start is now, but a publication is not expected before the standard is final.
• We must use the new version of the IHE publishing template. Meaning that there is a lot more editorial work.

• Jurgen asks that there is an alignment with CMPD. Agreed that all changes to HL7 will a least be reviewed with CMPD in mind.

• ITI and PCC are not yet convinced, if this is a profile or rather just a whitepaper or implementation guide

• Discussion

• The group agrees that wide areas of the shown is rather an implementation guide than resolving an interoperability problem
• Jürgen outlines, that CMPD has been extended by the query "FindMedicationList", because such kind of queries are needed in reality. CMPD has had the Community Pharmacy Manager available to offer such a transaction (PHARM-1). A standard XDS domain has NOT got such an actor -> if QDA could fill this gap, this would cover a real need.

• Question: Will the profile will be generic + branded (like XDW)?

• No, this is not needed, because the intended profile will be made "domain-neutral" and thus natively fitting for all domains like Pharmacy, Radiology, etc.

• Question: What about purchasing/contract negotiation? Is that part of the scope?

• No, not right now. This is connected to Formulary/Catalog work-item
• Decision: Will not be extended in current scope. Will be added into the whitepaper/profile in a later phase.

• How to finalize/publish the supply chain whitepaper?

• Actually two whitepapers are on the road

• 1) Hospital Medication Supply

• Current status: Contains enough information to be closed. Sufficient for starting the profile development intended. Some open issues (e.g. blood derived products, etc.) could be delivered in later versions.
• Decision:

• Whitepaper will be finialized to an internal version (Jose/Marc)
• Final internal review (in particular by IHE Germany)
• Put to PC

• 2) Enterprise Distribution and supply of items

• Current status: Not yet started. Was intended to collect non-pharmacy use-cases for supply chain.
• Decision:

• WP will be stopped! Non-pharmacy use-cases will be collected in parallel to profile development and directly embedded into the profile.

• The final scope of this profile will be Hospital AND Community Pharmacy

• Exchange of formularies also important in Community setting
• We would need support of such experts in Community domain
• First phase will concentrate on Hospital Pharmacy

• Question: What is the relation to ISO IDMP?

• IDMP is made for pharmacovigilance (vendor - regulator)
• Data-set is overlapping with the data-set of a formulary, but formulary needs additional information (e.g. pricing, packaging, etc.)
• HL7v3 is the best candidate for a content standard
• Work on the whitepaper must include a review of IDMP

• Question: What is the relation to ISO MPD (Medical Product Dictionary)?

• Action item: Must be investigated (Simon)
