| '''<Comments>:'''  | May 2011 F2F, reviewed by TC June 1: John Garguilo will provide a first draft of the Implementation Guide and vendors will be essential contributors. Sept. 5, 2012: Change date to October 19, 2012. Nov. 12, 2012: Change date to March 13, 2013.  Jan. 9, 2013: John Garguilo reported Sandra will look at POI supplement as an initial PCD example. John Rhoads noted that an implantation guide is very different than specifications found in the TF. Add Sandra. An example will be provided at the F2F. Change date to April 17. Oct 22, Discussion of progress and planned progress, plan on webex for users in November.  Nov 6, 2013:  John G – building resources to help implement. Building a guide from the TF, hone in on other items. Will be 2014 Spring f2f Goal – impl gde 0.1 for vol 2.  Change date to December 8  January 15, 2014:  Still working on PCD-01 walk through. Change date to March 26  June 11, 2014: Build a base implementation guide to follow TF.  Change date to Sept 24  October 15, 2014: John G can provide an update at F2F, add to agenda.  Two parts – how to build software and also documentation.Change date to F2F.  Nov 5, 2014:  Still in progress, Dec 3, 2014:  First pass will be basic structure.  Some will be auto-generated.  Will need some help to describe constraints and use cases.  Once created, it can be reused in other message types.  Change date to end of December.  Jan 4, 2015:  No change, push to February.  Feb 11, 2015:  Set date to end of March.  April 22, 2015: New NIST tool not quite ready, will update when it's ready. Change date to June 10.  June 3, 2015:  Change due date to July 1  July 1, 2015:  Still working on it, change date to August 19.  Aug 19, 2015:  In progress, change date to Sept 30.  Oct 14, 2015:  John will update at F2F, There will be some interim work as well. Oct 22, 2015: Ties to Igamt and tcamt work. Trying to implement PCD-01. Will mirror TF Vol 2, provide more focused device specialization guides. Set date to Dec 31.
 +
:Dec 15, 2015:  Will likely be a F2F item.  Change date to April F2F.
 +
:April 21, 2016: IGANT has come a long way since started.  Originally for MU use, plan a more constrained model for IHE.  Tuesday discussion on Casc, Gazelle and Casc work leads to a virtual machine.  It'll be fairly formal for certification.  Monroe has done a good job.  The guides are a constrained document, tied closely to Vol 3.  Need to constrain the message to tie in to message and device type.  Leads to device type specific messages.  IGANT still being developed, somewhat recursive.  John has a couple of items to resolve before showing it to us, should be soon.  Goal - show at HL7 meeting in May.  If specs/profiles are done, then can be used to auto-build tools.  Helps to support multiple areas, allows 'custom' tool for each need.  Eliminates need to interpret.  Once base message defined, can easily know how to make your system compliant.  Set due date to June 1
 +
:June 1, 2016:  NIST team making good progress. Automation should be more visible, helping accuracy. Change to July 6.
 +
:July 6, 2016:  Some progress on PCD-01.  Gone through IGAMT tool.  Using TF V2 to replicate it and start the guide.  Can use the guide to build test cases with the TCAMT.  Can then create test tools.  Can then support other IHE based efforts.  He can demo on a later call.  IGAMT allows you create a  formatted document.  Set date to Aug 17.
 +
:Aug 17, 2016:  John not available, set to Sept TC meeting.
 +
:Sept 7, 2016:  John will update at F2F, set to F2F.
 +
:'''Oct 12, 2016:  IGAMT tool, John extensively demonstrated the tool. Any plain English ‘how to’ info? Can hone in on device classes and even be model specific. Will keep updating. Helps with documentation and quick test development. More consistent formatting guide. Should be ready to test it out. Hopefully will be able to automatically create the tests, rather than hand enter. DIM editor output is much finer level than this – could be encoded, but at content level. Close it and add as next F2F agenda item – IG and Test Case Development.'''

| '''<Comments>:'''  | Spring 2013 F2F: CP to change the name and provide additional changes to convert IPEC to EC. To be completed in time to submit for ballot and TI.  August 6, 2014:  Change due date to October 8, 2014  October 15, 2014:  Push to next cycle  Change due date to F2F for brief discussion (15 Minutes).  Dec 17, 2014:  Change due date to April 2015 F2F.  Jan 7, 2015: Cochairs will come up with a direction and bring up to F2F.  June 10, 2015:  Set due date to June 17.  June 17, 2015:  Todd disowned it a bit.  EC is a higher scale; use IPEC as a specialty of EC.  A small number of generalities would cover them.  EC was mostly device to device, don't always require human intervention.  Joe will contact Todd to discuss at TC, change due date to August and add to agenda. (Check F2F notes).  Aug 5, 2015:  Joe will ping Todd again.  Change date to Sep 2 TC.  Sep 2, 2015: Working on IPEC right now. Al working on a sample message, hope to review at F2F.  Change to F2F.  Oct 22, 2015:  Do we take it down a notch and put info in framework, and let device specific groups define as needed (IPEC becomes an example of EC)? IPEC principles can provide a base for others to build on. Close this and open another to create common EC material to go into TF. Owner of new AI – IPEC team and John R. What is the need for this material? Would be a template for other equipment types to build on.  Change date to Nov 4.

:Nov 4, 2015: Suggest moving this past Connectathon and Showcase.  It's a cure with no known disease.  Move to April Face to Face.  Paul Schluter - May be tied to containment work.
 +
:April 20, 2016:  Long history.  Communicate items that need to go to people, addressed a lot by ACM.  Some device sourced events may be delivered to other systems (such as CMMS).  IPEC was a successful limited implementation.  Other profile based comms have not been as successful.  Todd took it, then ended up with other activities.  John Rhoads willing to take over, but will need to be after summer, as he has other projects.  More use this as a template.  Result a single EC document or a new document using IPEC as a model?  Likely leave IPEC as is.  Change name from 'Convert' to 'Port IPEC Concepts'  Change owner to John R and due date to next F2F.

:'''Oct 12, 2016:  Need to come up with TF text.  Close this and create new item:  Draft EC overview for Tech Framework;  Owner, John R.  Have a small note in V1, more detail in V2;  Due date after HIMSS.  '''

| '''<Comments>:'''  | When required, PCD will need to come up with a mechanism to populate the fields.  One option: Insert a sentence into the text to emphasize, and have NIST update test to indicate an error.  Indicate to participants in pre-connectathon that this will now be part of the test.  August 6, 2014:  NIST to verify MSH-5 validation is addressed, Change date to August 20.    Sept 24, 2014:  Put identifier into Gazelle.  Where test case descriptions are very important, we could use the demographics spreadsheet.  there's no CN document across PCD.  Some discussion of RE in the test case description.  Change due date to F2F.  October 15, 2014:  Should have a value in this field for Gazelle.  John G – ties to specific test cases.  Important for test cases to have preambles to help set the message up.  Nov 19, 2014:  Jeff McGeath will provide text to Paul Sherman.  Change due date to Dec 3.  Change owner to Jeff, change date to January.  Jan 7, 2015:  Move to February. April 22, 2015: Change to F2F    June 10, 2015:  Set due date to June 17.  July 1, 2015:  Paul will ping Jeff for update.  Change date to Aug 5  Aug 5, 2015:  No update, Paul pinged Jeff this day, change date to Sep 2 TC.  Sep 2, 2015:  No response from Jeff, Paul will ping again, change to Sep 30.  oct 14, 2015:  Tom will call Jeff to see if he can update at F2F (1/2 hour discussion).  Set to F2F.  Oct 22, 2015:  Retitle to MSH 3 and ACKs. Look for Jeff's email and use that an update to the TF. What to do as a gateway? The gateway is responsible for the ACK. Change date to Nov 4 and put on the TC agenda.'''  Jeff McGeath's notes - The final outcome was that systems would be graded on what they are sending in MSH:3.  This is the sending application, and therefore should be known in advance.  We ran into an issue at last year's (Jan 2014) connectathon where systems were receiving a message, then when building their ACK they would create a MSH:3 that just copied the original message’s MSH:5 value.  Those systems should know who they are and would never send out an ACK with an empty MSH:3.  Jeff: My memory on the action item was that either Gazelle or the NIST tools would have a table to track the vendor names and map that to the Connectathon IP address assignments.  If that were in place, the validation engine could then cross reference the sending IP with the known vendor and fail any transactions that have incorrect or empty MSH:3 values.  What's next?  This will need to be tested and NIST will need info in advance.  Gazelle and NIST tools are separate.  John G:  If info is available, they can validate it.  If NIST tools are consumer, they can parse the info.  As a reporter they need it up front to send the message.  This info should be entered before Connectathon, but often isn't.  Need agreement by all to submit IP addresses before CN.  This is mostly a Pre-connectathon participant issue.  Already performs in Pre-Connectathon.  Close this and open a new one for Connectathon.  CLOSE.'''

| '''<Comments>:'''  | Related to EUI-64 issue.  John will work on identifying unique IDs before the Connectathon.  Set Due Date to October 22, 2014.  October 15, 2014:  Can use demographics for pre-connectathon.  No errors or warning if EUI-64 not used yet.  Can't use until all register and obtain an EUI-64.  If provided, NIST can validate.  Mention at the F2F for group preference.  Could this be a Gazelle option?  Brief F2F item (15 minutes).  John G:  Will have pre-conn link available to enter info.  Not currently in gazelle.  Change Due date to Dec 17, 2014.  Have validation in pre-conn tool. Will ask for EUI or DNS for registration, prefer 1st 24 bits of EUI (OUI). Will pre-populate as much as possible. Do large organizations, are the 1st 24 bits across whole organization? It depends – patient monitors yes, but mass produced have different. Different business units can have different OUIs, depending on history. Each user will need to enter their info. Change date to January.  Jan 7, 2015:  Built into Pre Conn configuration page.  Mostly done, could use some enhancements.  Look at EUI-64, validating 24 bit now.  Epic – don't look at EUI-64 specifically; it's used, but not required.  Supposed to serve as a stable device ID.  Discussion of topic and need for this specificity.  Move to PC/TC call.  Jan 21, 2015: Change date to February.  April 22, 2015:  Didn't get there this time. Can discuss at F2F, could go through last round's data. Very useful to have unique ID. Move to F2F.    June 10, 2015:  Move to June 17.  July 1, 2015:  Most likely to happen around Pre-connectathon. Cost is reasonable ($1000)  Move to September.  Sep 2, 2015:  This is a pre-connectathon issue.  All is OK with a local identifier table.  F2F likely best forum.  John G will outline the changes and bring to F2F.  Paul Schluter – How to ID vendor created private codes/terms?  Extensive discussion on this issue – need implementation rules.  Set date to F2F.
 +
:  Oct 22, 2015:  Discussion on how to proceed. Could have the vendors provide, NIST loads the info, then it can tie back during Connectathon registration. John G will assemble a spreadsheet to go to CN and PC members asking them to load their info. Will try to have ready for Pre-Connectathon. Paul Sc suggests including a private company identifier. Set up for warning if not in the table, error if different than in table. Stay with OBX-18 for now. Need extra data and analysis. John will send a notice on what's needed for this Connectathon.  Paul Sh set date to Nov 4.

| '''<Comments>:'''  | June 17, 2015:  (From F2F notes) MEMLS and others use the PRT segment, Non PCD may use it as well.  Migration from OBX-18 to PRT 10, Used PRT for ACM and MEM.  Will need something firmer for others to use in newer HL7 versions.  John R - v2.7 introduces PRT, expanded in 2.8.2 to include UDI.  Deprecating OBX-18.  UDI is part of PRT.  Can maintain some backward compatibility.  There is a versioniing Action item.  John will write some info for the wiki, including links to good presentations. PCD needs to decide to all move to 2.8, or allow profiles to move as needed.  How will TF change?  We need to decide that.  TC needs to discuss staying at 2.6 or moving to 2.7.  Moving would be fairly minor, field length is longer in 2.7.  We've set the precedent to this this by profile.  Biggest gain is to refer to normative description in TF V2.  Aug 5, 2012:  No update, Change date to Sep 2 TC.  Sep 2, 2015:  Now documented in TF for ACM.  Can close this one when the TF is published.  Move to Sep 30.  Oct 14, 2015:  Awaiting TF publish, move to F2F.'''  Oct 22, 2015:  Completed, CLOSE.'''

: Discussed with FHIR group at HL7 F2F.  Ongoing work, three comments/questions taken care of.  ACM will use mACM model for FHIR implementation in current TF to have a single transaction manage both.  Some discussion of this, may be a challenge 'blending' FHIR and HL7 V2.  Message encoding could be a problem.  Will reference mACM profile, not define directly.  Change owner to Chris Courville.

This needs tested and NIST will need info in advance.  Gazelle and NIST tools are separate.  John G:  If info is available, they can validate it.  If NIST tools are the consumer, they can parse the info.  As a reporter they need it up front to send the message.  This info should be entered before Connectathon, but often isn't.  Need agreement by all to submit IP addresses before CN.  This is mostly a Pre-connectathon participant issue.  Already performs in Pre-Connectathon.  Set date to Nov 18, 2015.'''

:April 5, 2017:    the pump group tried to bring up the RTMMS tool with partial success. Afterward, nothing was in. What do they need to do to move it forward? John G walked through the website. How do we edit x73 tab? Any desired edits go to a ‘bin’ for review and potential inclusion. The changes won’t directly replace that text, but will be added as additional reference info. Can send Nicholas a spreadsheet with the needed terms and supporting info; he will upload them as needed. Will need a new bin, mechanism to export. If you want to revise x73, need a mechanism to send it forward. Everyone has vendor access, Jeff has SVO access. If they edit that, where does it propagate? To the proposed terms table.  Moving forward – WG will create a spreadsheet with all changes, then submit it to Nicholas for loading into RTMMS. They can edit in the vendor table (except Jeff)- they can submit that way. They are trying edit a lot of things; will focus on those they can edit, then look at how to take care of the rest of the changes. Went through the process while in the Infusion Pump WG account.  Set to May TC.

60 Update TF Todd, Ken John Rhoads 2011.12.31 Closed Previous history is available on this Wiki (see history tab).

The update will include PIB, SPD. Todd will ask the IHE Cochairs if the format must be changed to the new format or can be left as is. A format change to the TF is anticipated. This would place the boiler plate into volume 0. Manny to develop the essential elements of the Integration Statements and check to see if the requirement for PCD-01 from the DOR to the DOF is clearly written. Robert is leading a group addressing the issues with PAM ITI-30 and 31. Paul noted that web services will provide additional benefits such as security. The profile updates to HL7 v 2.6 will be folded in. Dec. 9, 2009: Change date to Dec. 18. John Garguilo noted Bikram’s observation about OBR field lengths. He recommended discussion and decision, perhaps using RE for those not used. Paul noted that there will be CPs coming out of coordination with Continua. Feb. 24, 2010: Updating TF is in progress, addressing non-controversial items. A draft of Volume 2 will be available shortly. Volume 3, delayed, will contain much of what was in Volume 2. CPs for Continua harmonization will be incorporated before the revised TF is issued for ballot. June 30, 2010: Change date to Sept. 15. September 22, 2010: Todd is working on TF Volume 3 which will include what was Volume 2 Appendix D. Manny to ask Todd for a potential date. 62 Incorporate Bar Coding into ADT implementations; which domain is responsible? Todd Co-chairs 2009.07.01 Closed Please see summary of June 3 for history http://wiki.ihe.net/index.php?title=PCD_TC_2009-06-03_Webex#Discussion. John Rhoads reviewed the topic as discussed at the DCC. Ken and Todd took this to the DCC approximately 6 months ago. The DCC suggested PCD take the lead and coordinate the various IHE Domain. John indicated this was the same approach the DCC took again recently. Todd noted that Khalid is developing an approach for DPI and asked that John take this back to the DCC and he agreed to do so. Paul asked if bar codes (which are available in different standards) are the only identifier of interest. Others could include the patient’s photo. Todd suggested the PC draft a brief profile proposal that could be used to recruit ITI, Radiology and possibly PCC to join the effort. John asked Khalid if he would lead this effort and Khalid agreed to give this some thought. Paul noted that PCD-01 permits multiple patient identifiers. Change date to July 1.

October 28, 2009: Bar coding can be folded into patient ID (#84). Close.

66 HL7 IHE-PCD Integration (Message) Profiles (i.e., Message Workbench [MWB] profiles) John Garguilo Al Engelbert, Todd Cooper, Robert Flanders. OPEN Closed Previous history is available on this Wiki (see history tab).

Gary volunteered to develop and maintain MWB profiles for three profiles, including tables (data type and others); initial versions are available and can be enhanced for future (cycles) use. Gary is maintaining MWB profiles and NIST bases/develops their message context validation files based on the MWB HL7 profiles. Volunteers are requested to help on the other profiles (ACM PCD-04 through 08). For ACM, Monroe indicated that only PCD-04 is currently stable. Gary will work on PCD-04 as well. Manny will talk with Nick regarding IDCO (for PCD-09). Gary noted that the MWB tool permits building the message, while that is not available in the NIST tools. John Garguilo noted that the MWB also provides the capability to execute (or simulate) a sending/receiving system for testing. NIST is working on building Test Agents to achieve similar functionality and John will provide updates as the Agents are written in software. September 22, 2010: John Garguilo will ask members to take responsibility for maintaining the profiles and keep the latest version on the ftp site. Companies will be able to constrain these further. Gary will lead an effort to coordinate this. Manny indicated that the MWB and Peter Rontey’s tutorial are posted on the ftp site. If any changes are required members should send Manny an email. Peter has limited time available because his responsibilities have changed. He may have room in an upcoming tutorial but is not offering tutorials regularly. April 6, 2010: John Garguilo suggested that this will be less of an issue with further development of NIST tools. John Garguilo will take the lead and attempt to gather the latest versions. He noted that Peter Rontey is unable to maintain the tool, but it may still be useful as a system to test against until the NIST tool provides that service. Al noted that another use for the MWB is to have a local system. John Rhoads suggested that it also provides useful reports. HL7 continues to recognize the MWB as a tool. Al asked if the NIST tool will produce an XML conformance profile. The NIST tools will accept XML profiles and might provide the conformance profile to use in the MWB. This will permit the MWB profiles to be updated in synch with NIST updates. John Rhoads suggested that GForge be used for version control. Date changed to May 31. August 17, 2011: Change date to Open. January 3, 2012: There was a consensus that: With the availability of NIST’s interactive tool and NIST making the XML files (“performance profiles”) available, this Action Item will no longer be needed. John Garguilo suggested closing this item and opening a new Action Item for Performance Profiles that would be used with tools such as SPY, MWB. Al suggested that the NIST tool is sufficient. Robert indicated that the XML files, the MWB and the NIST tool are helpful. A new item will be added, with Robert and John Garguilo responsible.

67 Integration Profile Registration (w/ OID Defs) John Garguilo Al Engelbert, John Rhoads, Todd Cooper, Robert Flanders. 2010.09.29 Close Previous history is available on this Wiki (see history tab). Note that once the final TF Vols are produce in early 2010, verify that the OIDs registered with IHE are still correct. April 6, 2010: Close. PCD has OIDs now. Al Engelbert asked if the OID will change as a profile changes. John Garguilo responded that another element, .x, will be added and reflect the version. OIDs are tracked on a Wiki page.

Once the PCD Technical Framework (Vols I and II) comment period ends (early September 2010) and the final versions are available (Trial Implementation Version), OIDs for the IHE-PCD Integration Profile transactions can be registered with Steve Moore at IHE. Todd set up Google Group and Wiki Page to establish a baseline. See [[1]]

Dec 15, 2015: Will likely be a F2F item. Change date to April F2F.
April 21, 2016: IGANT has come a long way since started.
June 1, 2016: NIST team making good progress. Automation should be more visible, helping accuracy. Change to July 6.
July 6, 2016: Some progress on PCD-01.
Aug 17, 2016: John not available, set to Sept TC meeting.
Sept 7, 2016: John will update at F2F, set to F2F.
Oct 12, 2016: IGAMT tool, John extensively demonstrated the tool. Close it and add as next F2F agenda item – IG and Test Case Development.

Figure out, develop a roadmap plan and resource plan of how to resolve what is not complete or missing. (A) List of terms - but no other fields (not as trivial as one might think…); (B) Looking down the descriptor field, it's non-normative - and thus thin (start w/ a search). Question from Todd, item assigned to Jan Wittenber with help from Sandra? July 23. 2012: Pending notification from IEEE. Change date to August 22. November 7, 2012: IEEE has agreed to the inclusion of IEEE terms in the tables. Pending IEEE to provide official announcement making this available through RTMMS by the end of November. 137 PIV: User Approval to Initiate Infusion CLOSED F2F May 18, 2012: Brad to ask the Pump WG to consider a CP to add to the technical documentation: the final step is user approval to initiate infusion. June 20, 2012: Paul suggested making this optional as a workflow item to be considered for documentation. July 10, 2013: Al reviewed this as a potential addition requiring the clinician to review the program before initiating the infusion. 154 CPs Resulting From the Connectathon John Garguilo John Rhoads April 17, 2013 CLOSED Feb. 20, 2013: Develop CPs resulting from the Connectathon process. John Garguilo encouraged review of supplements that may be included in the TF. He recommended setting a portion of the F2F aside for discussion of the CPs. CPs should be available early in the cycles. August 21, 2013: Closed
155 Propose Automating Connectathon Documentation Richard Lane Darryl Mellot April 17, 2013 CLOSED Feb. 20, 2013: Documentation should be automated; cutting and pasting into Gazelle and the NIST tool was time consuming and potentially error prone. He noted that this would also contribute to the certification process. John Rhoads suggested that PCD discuss the technical issues in depth and prepare a recommendation for the Connectathon leadership. Monroe added that not all messages will be HL7 (e.g., WTCP and IEEE) so the solution should take this into account. August 21, 2013: Change due date to Sept 4, 2013 Item completed with Gazelle proxy service. Close

162 Data Capture Indicator Manny May 22, 2013 CLOSED Spring 2013 F2F: Ask the EHR vendors about the current state of affairs. Manny to poll EHR and Interface vendors to learn what is in place. Lab data is likely processed with this in mind. This is not an immediate priority item for solution. 163 Error Codes Jeff Rinda, Todd ? CLOSED Spring 2013 F2F: Should Profiles Include Error Codes? Refer to Pump WG (Jeff and Todd) to ask if there is a reason to retain the existing codes or to handle other than MSA, as alarms. May 1: The general solution will be captured in Rosetta; pump specific items in the ACK referred to the Pump WG in the existing implementation. The Pump WG may wish to add alerts. The goal is consistency and unification between all, using the same values for alarms, alerts. August 21, 2013: Leave open no changes Error test table is on ftp, this may have been an effort to expand to other profiles. Al; recommend relabeling for more than pumps. Monroe – this is mostly part of ACM, except for error noticification, close it. Close
164 Increase Testing Rigor Manny, Paul Sherman PCD Connectathon and Showcase WG August 6, 2013 CLOSED Spring 2013 F2F: Richard Lane noted we don’t test all mandatory items in a profile. Connectathon test should indicate what optional and mandatory elements are tested. West Health is working to automate testing, logging and that will make more time available and provide other benefits. This could be applied to the Virtual Connectathon as well. The Virtual Connectathon is optional and even the Pre-Connectathon (NIST) testing was on the honor system. John Rhoads added that Virtual Connectathons multiple times a year would be beneficial and that traceability to the profile (i.e., this part of the test is based upon this part of the profile) is desirable. August 21, 2013: Change due date to October 2, 2013 Seems more philosophical than an actual action item. Monroe; too broad, close and create a new action item for specific items. Burden is on NIST tools. Close
165 Traceability of NIST test tool and the TF/Profile John Garguilo May 22, 2013 CLOSED Spring 2013 F2F: Research the traceability between the NIST test tool and the TF/Profile.July 23, 2014: Monroe; a major effort for PCD to apply to all tests. 168 Documentation and Testing of Additional Risks Todd, John Rhoads May 10, 2013 CLOSED Spring 2013 F2F: Monroe recommended that the broader issue of managing risks other than Cybersecurity be brought to the DCC. John Rhoads added that the discussion include reference to risk analysis. Todd indicated that the ITI Security Cookbook is the place where risk management is addressed. There is a clause providing a location to address issues other than security and suggested that John Moerke would be a useful resource. He added that a separate section in the TF would be appropriate. Todd and John Rhoads will initiate a discussion with John Moerke at the Atlanta meeting. July 23, 2014: Does not need to be a TC action item Close
169 Improving Integration Statements Todd, Steve Merritt Aug 6, 2014 CLOSED Spring 2013 F2F: Seek to increase requirements for the IHE DCC lntegration Statement to include mandatory fields; and to address various levels of testing and utilization (e.g., certification). The product registry may lead to a listing of commercially available systems. May 1: Ask Steve to kick off proposal preparation and form tiger team. Richard Lane: Need to consider having participant’s indicate their successful testing of ‘Optional’ or ‘Conditional’ test cases during the Connectathon. This would help support future certification. More importantly, it may assist future purchasers of IHE compliant products in determining if the product is capable of meeting their actual functionality and feature needs. John Rhoads recommended the TC prepare a specific proposal for the DCC. Steve Merritt will be added to initiate the effort. Certification and other elements are involved in the resolution if the IS is to provide all that may be desired. July 23, 2014: Monroe will discuss certification and commercial products at next DCC call. Postpone until after next DCC call. Change date to Aug 6. Sept 24, 2014: Discussed at DCC. iscussed at DCC. April 20, 2016: Long history.

Oct 22, 2015: Retitle to MSH 3 and ACKs. Look for Jeff's email and use that an update to the TF. What to do as a gateway? The gateway is responsible for the ACK. Change date to Nov 4 and put on the TC agenda. Jeff McGeath's notes - The final outcome was that systems would be graded on what they are sending in MSH:3. CLOSE.

Duplicate of item 163 in PC list, close the PC item. Oct 23, 2014: Discussed at F2F. can be risky, as many wiki/web links go straight to ftp files. may be best to archive historical files/folder to start. Nov 19, 2014: Change due date to Dec 17, 2014. Dec 17, 2014: Change date to January. Jan 7, 2015: Move to February. April 22, 2015: Jeff Mc has made progress, to be discussed a F2F. June 10, 2015: Move to June 17. Jan 6, 2016: Nothing changed yet, set date to F2F.
April 21, 2016: Discussed at F2F, determined archiving meetings over 2 years old could be archived to clean up the site. Need to be careful about moving items that our publications are linked to (see AI 197). CLOSED
187 Wiki page updates: Cochairs address cross group pages Jeff McGeath October 21, 2014 CLOSED April 4, 2014: WGs address their specific wiki pages. Announce at PC and TC calls and add to respective Action Item lists. August 6, 2014: Set date to August 20. October 1, 2014: Getting in alignment with other domains. All domains are to contain certain content. Wiki pages need to be brought up to date. Monroe updated the OID page, the date page is current, a number need updated. Tag appropriate pages for coordinated work. Will add an agenda item to Co-Chair to review a page per meeting. Change date to F2F. October 15, 2014: Close here and add to co-chair agenda.
188 CP to require EUI-64 for production systems Jeff McGeath CLOSED April 4, 2014: Also include comments that a system under test can use a EUI-64 or a URN. Get rid of references to DNS (hostnames). August 6, 2014: Believe this has been addressed in Volume 2 documentation Closed.
189 Identify unique identifiers before the Connectathon John Garguilo Dec 16, 2015 CLOSED Related to EUI-64 issue.
Oct 22, 2015: Discussion on how to proceed.
Nov 4, 2015: Start sending EUIs to NIST so they can pre-populate. For companies with multiples, NIST will allow them to enter all of those and select during testing. For those without an EUI-64, enter your DNS number. Set date to Nov 18
Nov 18, 2015: Change date to Dec 16.
Dec 16, 2016: mplemented. Can enter EUI-64 or DNS at Pre-CN site. Let John know if you have issues CLOSE

190 PRT Segment Use John R John R, Jeff Mc Oct 21, 2015 CLOSED June 17, 2015: (From F2F notes) MEMLS and others use the PRT segment, Non PCD may use it as well. Oct 14, 2015: Awaiting TF publish, move to F2F. Oct 22, 2015: Completed, CLOSE.
191 Liaise with IDCO on Waveform communication Paul Sc Paul Sc, Chris C April 21, 2016 CLOSED June 17, 2015: IDCO is working mostly on waveform and annotating. The sooner we get something nailed down, the better. Paul Sc and Chris working with this group, will keep TC updated. July 1, 2015: IDCO is joining WCM calls, making progress. July 15, 2015: IDCO doesn't plan on changes for 2016 CN, will be ready for 2017. Aug 5, 2015: Will likely make changes next cycle. Change date to F2F. Oct 22, 2015: Liaised, unsure what IDCO will do. Change to Dec 31.
Dec 16, 2015: IDCO group between PCD years. Make a F2F item. Change date to April F2F.
April 20, 2016: Liaise with IDCO on Waveform communication (Paul Schluter, Chris Courville)
- Discussed this with IDCO, they are willing. Will incorporate into 183 and CLOSE
192 FHIR Chris Courville Sep 7, 2016 CLOSED PCD is staying in touch with FHIR group. Will also share of C4MI work in this area. July 1, 2015: Addressing comments, on track for next review in August.. Aug 5, 2015: Change date to Sep 2 TC. Sep 2, 2015: Change date to F2F. Oct 22, 2015: Change date to Dec 31.
Dec 16, 2015: Will be able to update after Jan HL7 meeting. Make a F2F item. Change date to April F2F.
April 20, 2016: PCD detailed much of this to C4MI, But C4MI has changed quite a bit. Stefan Schlicting and Stefan Pohlsen at Draeger have worked on this quite a bit. ACM is looking at mACM FHIR activities for information. Will be discussion at May HL7 meetings. Change due date to May PC/TC.
Discussed with FHIR group at HL7 F2F.
July 6, 2015: Resurrecting a group to work on this. Carry on from some C4MI work. May see a project scope statement. More coming. Set to August TC meeting.
Aug 3, 2016: Our groups have divided labor pretty well. Anyone interested is welcome to join 8AM EDT Wed meetings. Moving along. Point out ACM has approved a mACM message into ACM. Allows AR to use FHIR to send messages to ACs. DEC will be demo'd at FHIR CN. Challenge - currently HL7 V2 is 90% important and FIHR is 10%. Vendors have limited resources to dedicate to new projects. Any push to include in regular CN? Not much right now, likely see slow adoption of FHIR based profiles. Set to next TC meeting.
Sept 7, 2016: ACM submitted CP to enable FHIR. Devices on FHIR likely next step. Weekly meetings at 9AM Eastern, looking at mappings. Extensive discussion of implications. Close and add to TC agenda as a recurring item.

193 IEEE 11073 and PCD Joe Good Aug 19, 2015 CLOSED Questions about PCD and 11073 will come from discovery as implemented. As C4MI and PCD hit those items, questions will come up. PCD Mapping - ongoing question resolution. Aug 5, 2015: Change date to Aug 19 PC&TC. Aug 19, 2015: Still ongoing, will mostly be C4MI pinging PCD. Close.

194 SM data type Paul Schluter Sep 2, 2015 CLOSED New topic Aug 5, 2015: Structured data types. Want to extend as a ratio, particularly useful in ventilators. Paul Schluter will write a CP to reflect this. Set due date to Sept 2 TC. CP was approved, close.
195 MSH3 Ack at Connectathon John Garguilo April 20, 2016 CLOSED This is a product of TCAI 178. Gazelle or the NIST tools would have a table to track the vendor names and map that to the Connectathon IP address assignments. If that were in place, the validation engine could then cross reference the sending IP with the known vendor and fail any transactions that have incorrect or empty MSH:3 values. Set date to Nov 18, 2015.
Nov 18, 2015: Change date to Dec 16.
Dec 16, 2015: Mostly done at Pre-Connectathon. Won't happen before CN, but John will update. Set due date to Jan 20.
Jan 6, 2016: Monitors will see errors at CN if Identifiers aren't used. Should be resolved on site if needed. Paul Sh - check registrants to see if they have EUI-64 entered, then contact them to enter that info. John G will provide a list of Pre-C with EUI-64 to Paul, so he can assemble a list of those that haven't put submitted yet and contact them. How to share this? Maybe a wiki item - discuss at F2F? John R is willing to assemble a wiki page, John G will help. Also, this will be shared with CN monitors at the Connectathon. Keep date as is.
Jan 20, 2016: John G will assemble a guide sheet for the monitors at the Connectathon. Change date to Feb 3, 2016.
Feb 10, 2016: This may be an ongoing process to help monitors with new guidance each year. Change date to F2F.
April 21, 2016: EUI64, added into Pre-CN tool, wasn't all that successful. May not be a TC issue, more of housekeeping. If they can add EUI-64, this can be used at CN, but need vendors to provide the number (EUI or DNS). Could add into Gazelle, need to make it early. May need to add to our schedule to before Pre-CN. John showed the Pre-CN venor registration - only two registered so far. Please provide. How does this map to the CN tool? Should be the same value in Gazelle, Add to new user how-to; also to confirm with CN entry. More procedural, may be a PC action item, not TC. Close this and create a PC AI with deadline near Pre - Conn.

199 SFT Segment John Rhoads, Jeff Rinda April 12, 2018 Parking Lot Follow up to discussion at Oct 2016 F2F.
Feb 1, 2017: Desire to include info from pumps, software segment preferred. Legal to use, but not in TF. Will need a CP, discuss at a next pump group meeting and prepare. Set to March TC meeting. Add Jeff Rinda as an owner.
March 1, 2017: No new info, postpone until F2F
April 5, 2017: the pump group tried to bring up the RTMMS tool with partial success.
May 3, 2017: No new information, need to define what is to goes into it. Move to June meeting and remind Jeff Rinda.
June 7, 2017: Nothing for now, set date to TC just before F2F.
Sep 18, 2017: Per email with Jeff Rinda, will discuss at F2F.
Oct 5, 2017: No new info, set to Nov TC meeting.
Nov 1, 2017: Needs some definition, nothing new since the F2F, set to Dec meeting.
Dec 20 2017: John and Jeff not available, move to Jan TC meeting.
Jan 3, 2018: Status unsure. Jeff doesn’t seem interested. Set to F2F for final determination. Need to see how this works with MEMDMC or have alternative for info. Move to F2F.
Feb 7, 2018: Fairly sure this will not be continued
March 30, 2018 (Jeff's comment): This was discussed a while back when it was suggested that the Rosetta term MDC_ID_PROD_SW be used aong with a delimiter-separated list of the various software names/versions in OBX-5. As a result there is no need to use the SFT segment. OK to close this action item.
April 12, 2018: No need to pursue, no interest, place in parking lot.

203 Validation tool error related to CWE-23 Kurt Sep 4, 2019 CLOSED Per TF, should be in HL7. But it’s not there. Removed during balloting for 2.8 without explanation. Alternate text exists, but were told not to use it. Need to let us use an existing one, or give us a new one. Or edit TF to remove the CWE-23 reference. Foreign languages – need to provide space for a local language. Would need to submit a petition to change V2.8. Alternate Text has definitions that don’t fit our use. Where do we put the other human language text. If we agree that CWE-10 is appropriate then we could use it; it would be IHE compliant, but not HL7. Can we have a 2nd alt text without an Identifier?

June 5, 2019: Need a way to ID configuration or include response in PIV. Same issue with PCD-05. Epic had a workaround – used a proxy port as a DOC for the ACK. Need to document and send to IHE-USA. Need to contact Connectathon manager – Monroe will prep document, Paul will contact IHE for follow-up. Set to July meeting.
July 10, 2019: Paul contacted IHE, will check with Eric Poisseau on proxy.
Aug 7, 2019: Paul emailed Eric Poiseau, no reply yet. Move to next month

205 Use IHE PCD DEC to capture a data log in a single HL7 V2 message Paul Schluter Monroe Pattillo March 18, 2020 CLOSED Several dialysis vendors asked if they could consolidate all info from a session into a single message. Could be very valuable. We require OBX4 be unique, can we relax it? Create a ‘data log’ definition. Review in 2 weeks.
