Individual Tests

Patient Identity Source test 11317: NIST HL7v2 Source Test Set

Location of test software
The tests for the HL7v2 Patient Identity Source actor for the PIX or XDS.b profile are provided by NIST. The link to the NIST site can be found on the Index to IHE Tools wiki page
Your test descriptions and results reside on the NIST site.

Instructions

  1. Access the NIST PIX/PDQ Test Tool
  2. On the tests tab, select 'v2' and the actor under test: IHE PIX Source (yes, choose PIX Source if you're an XDS.b Source...it's the same transaction)
  3. This is a test of the ITI-8 transaction. The NIST tools list all applicable ADT messages. Test the ones relevant to your system, eg you may not support A05 messages in your application. As you successfully complete tests, that page will report Passed for each test. You do not need to complete all tests in one session.
  4. Once you have finished all of the tests, create a screen capture of that page in the NIST tool.
  5. Upload that screen capture into gazelle as the results for this test.

Evaluation

The Project Manager will verify that your screen capture shows successful results with the NIST test cases.
