Test 11300: Load Connectathon Test Patients

Dec 2017: This version of the test has been deprecated. The updated instructions are now here: https://gazelle.ihe.net/content/11300-load-connectathon-test-patients

The following needs to be completed prior to arriving at the Connectathon, ie the regular pre-Connectathon test deadline does not apply to this 'test'.

These instructions apply to:

  • PIXv2/PIXv3/PIXm - PIX Managers
  • PDQv3/PDQv3/PDQm - Patient Demographics Suppliers
  • XDS.b Patient Identity Source

To support PIX, PDQ and XDS tests, we ask you to arrive at the Connectathon with specific patients already loaded in your database.

These demographics include two 'well-known' patients, FARNSWORTH^STEVE (for PIXv2) and WALTERS^WILLIAM (for PIXv3 & PIXm tests), plus several patients for PDQ/PDQv3/PDQm. They also include a set of patients for use by Document Sources in other profiles (who might want to query a PIX Mgr or PDQ Supplier for a patient).

Instructions

The following needs to be completed prior to arriving at the Connectathon, ie the regular pre-Connectathon test deadline does not apply to this 'test'.

The Connectathon Technical Project Manager will announce when the patient demographics are ready for your Connectathon. It is important that you wait for the announcement before completing the steps below. You can expect these patients to be ready for you about 4 weeks in advance of the Connectathon.

These demographics will be provided to you in several formats. Choose the format that works best for you.

  1. You can send them to your system via an HL7 v2 or v3 feed. Use Gazelle Test Manager under menu Connectathon-->Patient Generation and Sharing. If you've never used this feature, there is a training recording available here, or you can follow these steps:
    • Log in to Gazelle Test Management, and select menu Connectathon-->Patient Generation and Sharing
    • On the "Existing patients" tab, find the "Test Keyword" filter near the top of the page
    • In that box, type "Preload" (no quote marks)
    • This filter will show you the patients we want you to load on your PIX Manager or PDQ Supplier
    • You may now send these to your system via HL7v2 or HL7v3 Patient Identity Feed using the "Share" button
    • Note that the tool allows you to select the Assigning Authority for the Patient IDs you send. PIX Managers and PDQ Suppliers load Patient IDs from ***all assigning authorities *** that are part of Connecathon testing, ie, IHERED, IHEGREEN, IHEBLUE, IHEFACILITY
  2. You can load them onto your system using HL7 FHIR Patient Resources.
  3. You can load them from an excel spreadsheet. The ftp site directory linked above contains an .xls file with all Connectathon patients for preload.

Evaluation

There is no specific evaluation for this test.

Create a text file stating that you've loaded the patient demographics. Upload that text file into your local gazelle as the Log Return file for pre-Connectathon test 11300.

Test 11300-Reg: XDS.b Registries - Load Connectathon Test Patients

Dec 2017: This version of the test has been deprecated. The updated instructions are now here: https://gazelle.ihe.net/content/11300-load-connectathon-test-patients

These instructions are a variation of the test above. These instructions apply to:

  • XDS.b - Document Registries

To support XDS tests, we ask Document Registries to arrive at the Connectathon with a set of patients already loaded in your database. We assigned one patient to each Document Source at the Connectathon. This ensures that Document Sources can submit documents to you with Patient IDs known to all Doc Registries at the Connectathon.

    • You may now send these to your system via HL7v2 or HL7v3 Patient Identity Feed using the "Share" button
    • Note that the tool allows you to select the Assigning Authority for the Patient IDs you send. Document Registries should load the Patient IDs with the assigning authority assigned to your Registry ie IHERED or IHEGREEN or IHEBLUE. Registries are assigned to the Red or Green or Blue domain about 3 weeks prior to the start of Connectathon.
  2. You can load them from an excel spreadsheet. The ftp site directory linked above contains an .xls file with all Connectathon patients for preload.

One very special patient:

For XDS.b Registries, the NIST XDS Tools at the connectathon will provide a dashboard showing your "up/down" status. This is enormously valuable information for your test partners. In order for the XDS tools to display your "UP” status to your test partners, you must have this patient ID in your database:

  • 911^^^&1.3.6.1.4.1.21367.13.20.1000&ISO

Note that this is in the IHERED domain. ***Even if you are a blue or green Registry, you must have this patient with this assigning authority*** in your database.

Evaluation

There is no specific evaluation for this test.

Create a text file stating that you've loaded the XDS patient demographics. Upload that text file into your local gazelle as the Log Return file for pre-Connectathon test 11300-Reg.

== Test 11300-GW: XC* Gateways - Load Connectathon Test Patients ==Dec 2017: This version of the test has been deprecated. The updated instructions are now here: https://gazelle.ihe.net/content/11300-load-connectathon-test-patients

These instructions are a variation of the above test and apply to:

  • XCA, XCA-I, XCPD - Initiating & Responding Gateways

To support Cross-Community tests, we ask Gateway actors to arrive at the Connectathon with these a specific patient used for XC* tests already loaded in your database. These demographics ensure a common patients are used for cross-community testing. We also have test documents prepared for these patients that you can take advantage of.

Instructions The following needs to be completed prior to arriving at the Connectathon, ie the regular pre-Connectathon test deadline does not apply to this 'test'.

The Connectathon Technical Project Manager will announce when the patient demographics are ready for your Connectathon. Test 11300-PDO: Load Pediatric Demographic Test Patients

The following needs to be completed prior to arriving at the Connectathon, ie the regular pre-Connectathon test deadline does not apply to this 'test'.

Actors that support the Pediatric Demographics Option must run this 'test' which ensure the proper pediatric demographics are loaded in its system in order to run subsequent tests on the Pediatric Demographics option.

We ask you to arrive at the Connectathon with these patients already loaded in your database.

Instructions Load the patients documented here: http://ihewiki.wustl.edu/wiki/index.php/File:Connectathon_TwinUseCases.xls

We cannot use gazelle's Patient Generation & Sharing feature due to the special pediatric fields needed in the messages.

Systems must run this test before running subsequent tests with Pediatric Demographics.

Evaluation

There is no specific evaluation for this test.

Create a text file stating that you've loaded the patient demographics. Upload that text file into your local gazelle as the Log Return file for pre-Connectathon test 11300-PDO.
