Clinical Data Consumer MESA Test Cases

Individual Tests

41002: QED Sample Query - Problems and Allergies

In this test, you create a sample QED Problems/Allergies query that will be reviewed by other participants. The goal of this test is to prepare those other actors (Clinical Data Sources) so they are not surprised during Connectathon events. In order to facilitate their testing, please submit your samples 2-3 weeks before the usual test deadlines.

Instructions

1. Create one or more sample QED Problems and Allergies queries that would be transmitted to a Clinical Data Source. Store these as XML files.

2. Create a README.txt file that lists each query file and a brief (one sentence) description of the query.

3. Place the queries and README.txt file in a zip file. Name this file SYSTEM_NAME_41002.zip where SYSTEM_NAME is the name of your system in the Gazelle tool (not your product name).

4. Upload the zip file into gazelle under menu Connectathon/List of samples . On the 'Samples to share' tab, there should be an entry for your QED sample.

5. Finally, create another short text file stating that you have provided your sample. Upload that file into gazelle as the results for this test.

6. Participants who implement the Problems and Allergies Clinical Data Source will have access to this and can test with your query.

Evaluation

Evaluation is an iterative process between your system and the Clinical Data Source. You will receive a note from the Project Manager if other vendors report problems with your query.

41004: QED Sample Query - Medications

In this test, you create a sample QED Medications query that will be reviewed by other participants. The goal of this test is to prepare those other actors (Source actors) so they are not surprised during Connectathon events. In order to facilitate their testing, please submit your samples 2-3 weeks before the usual test deadlines.

Instructions

1. Create one or more sample QED Medications queries that would be transmitted to a Clinical Data SSource. Store these as XML files.

2. Create a README.txt file that lists each query file and a brief (one sentence) description of the query.

3. Place the queries and README.txt file in a zip file. Name this file SYSTEM_NAME_41004.zip where SYSTEM_NAME is the name of your system in the Gazelle tool (not your product name).

4. Upload the zip file into gazelle under menu Connectathon/List of samples . On the 'Samples to share' tab, there should be an entry for your QED sample.

5. Finally, create another short text file stating that you have provided your sample. Upload that file into gazelle as the results for this test.

6. Participants who implement the Medications Clinical Data Source will have access to this and can test with your query.

Evaluation

Evaluation is an iterative process between your system and the Clinical Data Source. You will receive a note from the Project Manager if other vendors report problems with your query.

41005: QED Sample Query - Immunizations

In this test, you create a sample QED Immunizations query that will be reviewed by other participants. The goal of this test is to prepare those other actors (Source actors) so they are not surprised during Connectathon events. In order to facilitate their testing, please submit your samples 2-3 weeks before the usual test deadlines.

Instructions

1. Create one or more sample QED Immunization queries that would be transmitted to a Clinical Data SSource. Store these as XML files.

2. Create a README.txt file that lists each query file and a brief (one sentence) description of the query.

3. Place the queries and README.txt file in a zip file. Name this file SYSTEM_NAME_41005.zip where SYSTEM_NAME is the name of your system in the Gazelle tool (not your product name).

4. Upload the zip file into gazelle under menu Connectathon/List of samples . On the 'Samples to share' tab, there should be an entry for your QED sample.

5. Finally, create another short text file stating that you have provided your sample. Upload that file into gazelle as the results for this test.

6. Participants who implement the Immunizations Clinical Data Source will have access to this and can test with your query.

Evaluation

Evaluation is an iterative process between your system and the Clinical Data Source. You will receive a note from the Project Manager if other vendors report problems with your query.
